I had an email sent to me from a Guy who says he is in the accountingf Dept of a signing Company. He said he needed a signed W9 from me. I have never worked for this company? why would I send him a W9 with my SS# on it? I told him it was available on the NNA profile. Is this normal?
First of all… Stop using your SS# - - - get an EIN number - especially if you are doing a lot of 1099 work. It is very easy to do… just google it. Secondly, no don’t send them anything if you are not working with them.

I agree, I already have and use an EIN # I was just curious if this was normal I did not send it to them , But I wonder if other new LSA are doing it. It is not a good idea to be emailing that info to anyone. I thought it may have been a scam??
