Hi all, I have been searching everywhere, can anyone tell me if this platforms notify you by text of signings available?
No they do not. When I sit at my desk I refresh every 10 min and look for possible jobs. Not many in LA these days.
Yes, but I think it depends on the company. I get texts from Signing Order from some companies but not all.
I have the same experience as tawc and dejongc. I get texts on some but not all so I regularly check.
Thanks all, so paying the monthly fee does nothing for me?
Signingorder does notify by text message you sign up for notifications on your profile. The only fee I pay is 2.99 for 20 extra zip codes. The listing itself is no cost.
@bluejmobilenotary Yes, they do notify of Signing Orders [SOs] via TEXT messages.
No fee for LISTING your professional Profile.
If you CHOOSE to pay the additional fee of $2.99 for adding 20 more Zip Codes to your profile, it will expand the region for which you’ll receive SOs.
Best Wishes
Thank you I am paying 2.99 for the zip codes, but also paying 5.62 for pro which sounds like I am wasting money.
Possibly - however, I am paying $3/ month and have not received one text. I do , when I am in my office, get online and refresh every 10 min to see if new jobs are available. Would love to get it via text but not so far …
Notary Cafe is where many hiring companies find us Notary Cafe | Find a Notary. But unless your hiring company specifically tells you that they FOUND YOU ON NOTARY CAFE, you won’t know. So you could get in the habit of asking if they don’t volunteer the information.
Whether one notary listing platform is worth it not worth it… it’s up to you and your budget. Having a paid listing here in Notary Cafe is definitely worth it for me. But if YOU don’t think it is worth it for you, then just use the free listing.
@bluejmobilenotary Good Morning!
Just to clarify, you’re referencing “the platform” in the TITLE of your thread (and NOT the Notary Cafe platform), Correct?
Thank You
@bluejmobilenotary Hi Betty, I made a mistake and read “HERE” in your question and wrongly interpreted it in the context of Notary Cafe rather than your post subject which was very clearly “SIGNING ORDER” and realize you are referring to the website signingorder.com. The same is it worth it, not worth it for paid listings still applies. But you and @tawc should definitely be receiving DAILY TEXTS from this platform regarding signing offers if you are signed up.
@tawc if you are not receiving daily text msg signing requests from SigningOrder.com, you may want to recheck your profile settings (Administration Login :: SigningOrder.com) and under Availability Request Method, make sure you have SMS checked.
@Carmen_Lane thank you and yes I have sms turned on I am paying 5.49 for pro but not receiving any text, also when I say yes on the job order platform, I am not getting those signings either.
OK wow Betty, that does not seem right at all. You are in Sacramento, CA and although signings are slower than normal across the board right now, you should still be receiving some signing order requests for your own zip code. If it was me, I would email support@signingorder.com and ask them to review my profile and ask why I am not receiving notices, and if there is something on my end that I can do to fix, or if it is something on their end that needs fixing.
I hope other California signing agents here chime in and offer better suggestions.
Will do, I was just sending the email to them, thank you Carmen.
Alright, I have to admit I’m not quite savvy as to how Signing Order operates. I’ve had a free listing with them for quite a few years. When I signed up with them, I went through a list of their vendors (don’t recall how I garnered that list of SSs/TCs) and (electronically) signed agreements with those companies with whom I was comfortable working. SMS is checked in my profile. Initially, I was receiving frequent texts of various signing offers. My profile now shows only 1 signed agreement and that’s the only company I receive offers from. On their Job Board, I see several jobs – all long distance; all with very low fees that I wouldn’t accept even if they were in my own zip code. Regarding that one company that I receive offers from: Those offers come in via text and email. Once accepted, then I correspond directly with that company and payment comes directly from that company. Is your experience similar?
To those who frequently work through Signing Order, did you have to sign agreements with the companies you work with? If so, when and where did you get to those agreements?
How much experience do you have?
I am on signing order and never signed any agreements. They have 100s of companies that use their platform. Hope that helped.
I don’t know if subscribing to Signng Order’s Job Board is really worth the money. I’ve noticed that many of these are the same jobs that they blast out texts for. Also, just because you say you’re available doesn’t mean that you’re getting the job. They seem to let the number of applicants build up and then pick and choose who they want. The worst part of it (in my opinion) is that they won’t reveal who the hiring company is until they’ve awarded you the job. I specifically asked them about that in an email and they responded that they don’t reveal the company because they don’t want notaries calling that company directly and asking for the job. There is a good reason why I want to know who the company is before I say “YES” to a job offer. It may be a company who I’ve had problems getting paid by in the past or takes forever to pay. Not all job offers are created equal.
@steves11 Thank you very much for sharing your direct experience/response from that platform. Helpful information!
Your rationale mirrors my perspective as well.
