Unlimited Ink Notary

I just signed up with them are they a reputable company?

Iā€™m not sure if they are reputable but I havenā€™t had any luck with getting any orders assigned from them. I will accept offers that come out but have yet to be assigned. My understanding is that they prefer people with specific training and ā€œwhite glove notariesā€ (at least according to their email response I receive when I say Iā€™m available for an order). I would love to hear feedback from others who have worked with them. Perhaps I could do something differently to be assigned the orders from them.

Do a search here for them - theyā€™ve been discussed (search feature is in top bar, hover your cursor over near your avatar and the magnifying glass will show up), Hereā€™s one link for your review

@anthonyjzandersinsurance Excellent question! By any chance did you find the immediately available information found within the Notary Cafe database on this topic?

This information is a GOLDMINE!

Most members express that they find it difficult/NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE to locate the Search Function in order to access the wealth of information available within the database.

To be helpful, Iā€™ve inserted an image for you & others [see below] to help members locate it to unlock the wisdom & knowledge of other members on the forums.

Iā€™ve performed a cursory Search on your behalf and the results show 19 separate threads (in addition to yours) about this particular topic. There is a plethora of data immediately available on the threads within Notary Cafe. :sparkles::tulip:

Yes, they are an amazing Company, you have to be a member of Notarystars to get orders but their training is amazing and they do multiple zoom calls a week on different files and you can ask questions. They also have a General Mentorship zoom call every Monday 8pm ET time which is open to the public and not just members and you can also asks questions there. They are a world of knowledge and I would totally recommend.

Welcome Notary 56.I am in agreement. There is no reason to NOT e a Notarystar:-)

Good move Anthony j Zanders :upside_down_face: They are actually pretty amazing trainers, maybe not the best price pointsā€“but if you are bidding and you are rural, explain your time and miles ā€“ if it makes sense they will increase.

I have gotten the the same. But sometimes, it seems the rates for the assignments are low? I think more and more, I will have to go out and get direct business for myself. Either the market is saturated with notaries, or some signing companies or influencers are trying the sell you something. Itā€™s a little hard to have to pay for mentorship without business (income); or hard not being given the chance to enter the race. This of course is no excuse for not pressing harder. There are sometimes more noā€™s before you knock on the right doors that open wide to your own path to success. Keep pressing!

They have wonderful training but they pay on the lower end and pay net 45.

They want you to pay a monthly fee to join their training program and take their course. I have gotten jobs from them without doing that, but they assign jobs to non-paying members only as a last resort. Their standard pay for most jobs is $85. Itā€™s questionable (in my opinion) whether thatā€™s worth paying for their training and dealing with their non-professional treatment (they kind of treat you like children unless youā€™re a ā€œwhite gloveā€ notary).

I dont think anyone should have to pay for closings or training. I have been in ths business for over 45 years Ive done every type of closings, from auto sales to double closings buyer and sellers together, refinances, I worked on Wall street, I also worked in NYC. I did one closing for them and they were so rude, All the documents were signed correctly. The scans were a little light and one page was on not on Legal Paper they made me reprint it and go back to the seller. After that I tried to get another closing from them and they would not give it to me

I have done some signings for them. I have joined Notary Stars and got a lot of signings. But the problem. I feel is that there have been times where I have missed a couple of signatures. One time I got a signing where the signers were supposed to sign as a Trustee, but the instructions said that they didnā€™t need to. They told me that it was in the instructions, but the special instructions. There was a note that said that they didnā€™t need to sign as a Trustee and then in the special instructions it says that they needed to. So, it was contradicting. I pointed that out, but it was still a mistake that I made. When you make a mistake, they wonā€™t use you for 30 days. And the training. It is way too long. They have 6 modules that you have to watch and there are at least 10 to 15 videos to watch. The shortest video is about 30 minutes long and then the longest video is 2 hours long. Seriously it can take you months just to finish the training that they want you to do. Then they expect you to remember what document needs to be signed and or dated. Even though there is no title or no signature lines indicating that there is supposed to be a signature. It doesnā€™t even ask for a date, but you are expected to know as a signing agent. The video tells you what needs to be signed. Every title company is different, and every document is going to be different. How are you supposed to remember which company needs what? You can get a lot of signings from them, but I feel that you have to be perfect in order to continue to get signings from them. I never had a company treat me the way this one does. I learn from my mistakes. I have made them, but I have also learned from them. I was a notary from 2003 to 2013, and I stopped being a notary till recently. When I first was a notary, it was never like this. A company should encourage you to do better and understand that mistakes are going to happen. I canā€™t believe that a Title company is that picky. I am working for other signing companies and if the Title companies were really that picky then why arenā€™t all signing companies doing the same thing that Unlimited Ink is doing. I think the videos are fine, I just donā€™t think you should have to watch all of them before getting signings. Maybe watch them to remember how to do something or as a refresher. But not something that has to be done in order to be considered a perfect notary and be considered to get signings. Iā€™m doing just fine with the other companies that are not discouraging me from being a signing agent.

But this isnā€™t my experience at all. What I received was terms saying weā€™ll pay you for work done this month at the END of next month and then itā€™s about 30 days after that. Iā€™ve never waited 90 days to get paid by them. I think people should remember not every report of slow pay on this forum is absolutely accurate.

Unless weā€™re talking about Prestige LOL

I have worked with them, and they are slow pay. It has taken them at least 2 months or so to pay me.

Hello, Iā€™ve had several signings with Unlimited Ink. Ronnie Mickle is very knowledgeable and quite an entrepreneur with multi-businesses. I no longer take any signings from him due to his payment policy and the low pay. Waiting 45 day is ridiculous as he is not waiting that long for his money so why should I.

They are a great company! They believe in training, whether its with them or someone else. Ronnie started as a notary and built a company that allows notaries to find work. It takes time and trust to build a network of companies that will trust you with their clients. So when your name and reputation is on the line you would want to make dare sure that you are giving your clients the best. Unlimited Ink encourage notaries to market themselves and build their business, but until you are ready to step out on your own merits than use the signing service.

Except that you have to pay to be a notary star and watch all the videos 150hrs worth. I feel like i shojldnt have to pay for any of that. I will get the job thru another signing agency instead. They work thru signingorder like many other signing agencies. They also pay low fees and do.not.like to negotiate.

Have never taken the training and continue to get jobs from them all the time. At the fees I request.
