WFG Application?

Hi all!
I’m a new NSA (less than a month!) and have only done 3 signings so far. One was for WFG through Snapdocs a few days ago. A couple of days after, I received an email from them asking for me to fill out a very detailed application form and submit a copy of my DL to “be in compliance with their policies”.

I’m wondering if I should do this. They want information about my business like fiscal year numbers such as gross revenue, my past 3 employers, companies my business has done business with in the last 12 months…just seems like A LOT.

Plus, they said they pulled my credentials off of Snapdocs. If so, why would they need another copy of my DL since that’s on Snapdocs too?

I’d love any advice you all can offer. Thank you in advance!

Is WFG a title company or SS? I’m not sure - never worked for them.

My .02 FWIW - as to fiscal numbers - NO - none of their business - they’re not the IRS or your accountant - they have no use for this info.

Maybe they’re trying to make you one of their preferred closers/agents in your area? Just a thought. Also, I hope the copy of the DL you put on SnapDocs was redacted of all your PII - nobody is entitled to that info - anytime someone requested that they got a heavily redacted copy, removing my DOB, Issue Date and especially the DL number - if not good enough, oh well.

And BTW - you say you’re new - hope you got an EIN from irs.gov and are not giving anyone your personal social security number.

They’re title from what I can gather. Yes, I did get an EIN. No, I did not redact my DL…honestly, I didn’t think about that at the time. Learning every day…

If I were you I’d updated my credentials there with a new copy of the DL - redacted.

Will that overwrite the file I uploaded originally?

Not sure…but worth a try.

I’m fighting the same issue even as we speak and I am concerend that a 3rd party lender is requiring it.

I even had my attorney review the application and was advised to not sign it. Here are the reasons why:

The pages of the application are not consecutively numbered; what do they plan to insert in between the page numbers.

There is no governing law; what state would you have to go to in order to sue them if they don’t pay?

I did not apply directly to them to be a direct NSA

They don’t respond to my questions
Why do they need to know my former employers
Why do they need to know gross revenue for the last 3 years
No one responds to my questions when I send an email.

Bottom line: I am not applying to any 3rd party companies and I was properly vetted according to the NNA.

They are lenders as well as title company and they do escrows. But they ask way too much information. And I have a tax ID number instead of using my social security number.
