How long after getting an assignment should you ask for documents?

You should have your documents at least 2 hours prior to the signing.
I would not ask for them too early though because the lender or title can make changes and if they do and you’ve already printed you will have to re-print. Sometimes I get docs 2 days prior to a signing and I have learned to never print too early. You just never know when they will change something.
Wise advice. But you do have to consider whatever your circumstances are and let them know well in advance if you need them earlier than the ‘standard’ 2 hours before Appt. They usually will accommodate a reasonable request…but, yeah, don’t print until you absolutely must.

Be patient. I usually ask about 4 hours before the appointment. If the appointment is early in the morning, I will call the signing service the night before.
Thank yall I just like to have early to mark them with my flags so I will not miss a spot to be signed . I was worrying myself this was the first time I have had to wait.
