A little frustrated

From what I constantly see offered, the fee will maybe cover your hard costs only, if location is within 5 miles. zip for your time, equipment, fee/notarization, etc., etc., etc.

I have been pleased with the quality of scan using adobe mobile scan for iPhone. You need a good surface and steady hands but they turn out as nice as any mobile scanner job does. IMO. Have never had a complaint. If a customer wants same day drop and I can’t do that returning to my office to scan I ask if it’s okay and no one has ever said no.

As long as the client can comfortably review your work that shouldn’t be a problem. So I have a question, how long does it take you to scan a 150 page loan with your cell phone?

Sorry what was your message?

I won’t do mobile scans that are that big. In my area, FedEx has cut services so if a company wants same day ship it has to be a morning appointment or no guarantee. I use my phone for smaller packages under 100 pages. I use the work area in the FedEx shipping center and can go fairly quickly. It just depends. There are several companies that hire me all the time and I’ll say you can have a scan that ships tomorrow or you can have a same day ship no scans. A lot of companies decide same day ship is more important. 150 pages takes a long time probably 40 minutes but if I have to drive home and it’s 40 minutes - I’ll do it if they insist.

what scanner application do you use? thanks in advance for you repy.

Linda

Good morning Linda, I use FasterScan.

We all have felt that type of frustration. Carmen_Lane, I totally agree with your comment!

When I got into the industry I seen the 6 figure gurus talking about you can make $250 dollars per signing. I’m still waiting on the consistent $250 jobs. :exploding_head:

Usually newbies are told to take them cheap to build their business. They fail to see this is a commodity service that’s saturated with NSAs who have little business acumen.

Could you possibly go back and edit your very long paragraph by dividing it up into shorter paragraphs? It would be easier to read and find information. Thank you.

Gerry/Pete, you could always copy and pasted it into a Word document and then make the font size and spacing and punctuation exactly as you want.

I think this happens when members reply in this forum using a small handheld device (smartphone) so they see only a little window as they type their thoughts and responses. And if it is a hassle to add all the necessary punctuation, they just skip and hope the reader can make sense of it.
