ALERT: Express Notary - So Disappointed

It’s 2021, Express Notary is now over 30 days past due on 2 invoices. Are they still not paying their Notaries net 30? SMH

I’ve done many signings for Express Notary and typically receive payment 30-45 days. If it goes longer, I send a follow up email/invoice to their accounting email address. They always have responded promptly and so far, I’ve always gotten paid. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for the information. Is it written somewhere that they pay 30-45 days? I did not sign an agreement before I accepted my first signing. I will be asking for that up front going forward with SS that I’ve never worked for. I won’t be accepting any assignments going forward. This is not cool when I have expenses monthly. I’ve been working for Express notary (expnotary.com) for probably six or seven years and they were never fasted at paying. Now they don’t answer their phone or emails and I have one that’s over 60 days and I’m done. I’m going to post this everywhere so that everybody sees and hopefully nobody else will ever work for them again.

Express Notary just got acquired by a larger firm, and they are cheap. I’m seeing text order requests between $40-$85. Delete!

Express Notary- I used their link in my email to reach their site. I was advised to set a new password because the other expired.

When I got on site, it says I had no current signings and so I reached out to the number tgey supplied.

The man who answered was unlike any I have encountered and I have been a mobile notary/signing agent since 2014.
He cut me off, then proceeded to tell me I had been on the account making changes, then says I have 2 profiles for one email. I had to stop him to ask, how to fix this, and he outlined a plan and folliwed it up with he could just email the docs to me. I told him I’d rather just fix the problem, rather than leave it for another day.
Not only did he spend the next few minutes telling me I did not have time to jump through all the hoops and do all that was required, because (he says) “I’m sure you’re a busy lady” but he was rude about it.

I felt uncomfortable about the push to not fix the problem and to rather except the band-aide solution. I told him I did have time to work the problem out. He again interupted, and I just got frustrated and adked him to stop being so rude…to which he told me that I was rude!! Omg!!!..I said, nevermind I dont want the job anymore. This was way too much drama for 8 am my time.

Wondering if the OP @kc1 could ADD the term “ALERT” or “WARNING” at the beginning of the Thread Title please . . .

NOTE: If doing a Search to vet a potential new client and the term ALERT or WARNING is in the title, it would be a quicker reference instead of having to pull up the thread, read through the posts, etc.

@kc1 In my direct experience professionally completing Signing Orders [SOs] for a360/CloseClear/ExpressNotary is that there are regular & recurrent challenges for their organization to dispense remuneration for professional services successfully provided. :frowning:

Well, that is WHEN (on rare occasions) they meet an appropriate fee for those services.

Most of the time, their fees are so far below the level of normal fees it’s non-profitable to accept those SOs from them.

Often, their fee ($30) doesn’t even cover the expense of gas to drive to the signing location.

Add to that their statement that “payment is typically issued within 35 days of signing.”

Unfortunately, it requires manual intervention via email requests directly to the “Accounting Department” aensaccounting@ a360inc.com interfacing with “Robert Brinkley, Accounting” to receive payment.

Keep in mind that Robert usually responds promptly. I’ve always received payment for the services provided for their clients; albeit outside the normal payment window interval.

Our Professional Signing Agents [PSAs] out-of-pocket expenses are normally paid out on the date of the SO or placed on a credit card, which typically has a due date within 25+/- calendar days. Waiting approximately 6 weeks (or more) to receive payment results in the PSAs essentially providing an interest-free loan for that interval of time.
