I am a new Notary Signing Agent and I cannot believe in 2024 signing companies are asking me to wait 60 days to be paid for a signing job.

There are MANY things that have changed dramatically over the past decade or two in various business sectors. The reasons behind those changes vary widely as well.

As an Independent Contractor [IC], the onus is upon you to vet your clients PRIOR TO accepting a Signing Order [SO] from them.

As a business owner, you establish your organizational policies.

It’s true that when you vet your clients you may receive less than the MAXIMUM number of possible SOs; however, as a result of those efforts, you WON’T expend excess energy & time chasing payments for your professional services successfully provided.
