Notaries in Action

Hello fellow Notaries. I have read about several not getting paid by Notaries in Action. I was suppose to receive pay from the on Sept 30, 2025. That was the day they said they would pay me for the signing. The signer was hard to find for the first notary that went down. I asked questions to neighbors, which help me locate her. She was verbally abusive at start off with over the phone. Long story short I still have not received my pay of $240.00. Have any others received their pay or are you just counting it as a loss?

@tsmiller512 Hmmm . . .

You mentioned that you’ve read about other Notary Cafe members not being paid . . .

By any chance did you Research before you successfully provided your Professional Services (or after)?

Accessing the database to locate information about potential clients has saved many of us an inordinate amount of time ‘chasing’ payments for Services professionally provided to potential non-payers . . . :crown:

You looked for someone by contacting neighbors? And actually met with someone who was verbally abusive? Kudos to you, I’d have never gone that far.

@tsmiller512: What kind of assignment was this?

In a typical real estate transaction – purchase, sale, refinance, HELOC, etc. – we attempt to make contact by phone call, text, email. Due to privacy laws, we don’t ask their neighbors, their grocer or the corner watering hole ( :rofl:). We are not process servers. We are notaries public/signing agents. Furthermore, we are not paid enough to take verbal (or any other) abuse. One of my prime mottos: Give respect, expect respect. Finally, make a concerted effort to collect the monies owed you. By “just counting it as a loss” is how many of the no-pay companies stay in business.

jmo

I have yet to receive a payment from Notaries in Action from 9/18, some of these signing agencies are great about telling you how many net days for payment but Prestige Notaries and Notaries in Action

I had no reason to look into them. I noticed after I did not get paid that there was quite a few of us that had not got paid. I am just counting it as a loss and hard lesson of $240.00 learned. As many Notaries that’s posted about them I hope that they cannot get anyone to work for them. They strictly have a notary go and go measurements and pictures of homes. I no longer do that type of work so I know that they cannot go underneath another name and hook me again.

My first time. I am sick of a certain notary companies that dont value what a notary do. They send out offers for $40.00 with scan-backs. I think that is a slap in the face of notaries being valued. Than if they date changes on your order, with respect for the notary they should be notified to see if they can accommodate the new signing date, instead of just removing it from their portal without notice. I feel that any thing over 100 pages w/scan backs should at the least be $100.00 that is at least. I have not had any company that didnt pay yet and I just might not be signed up with those companies.

Sincerely

I agree with you, $40.00 in WV with the mountains and the roads we have hardly pays for gas if it is any distance. I won’t hardly do anything for less than $125.00

When I set out to find someone, especially when no one else could locate them I do what it takes to find them. I set out the goal, and I did get the documents signed. Oh by the way I am suppose to be getting paid by them this week. We will see

This was not a real estate signing, it was a class action lawsuit with Notaries in action requestion a door knock hanger left. Various other notaries had tried finding her and was not successful. As far as I know I am supposed to be paid this week from them, we will see

What I finally done was to text Sally and tell her that I still had not been paid, I had been given the run around for too long. 425-818-5863 is the # I texted her at. I am supposed to be paid this week, week, we will see. Did you do measurement and picture’s or what did you do for them.

Hopefully I will receive pay this week. Not holding my breath.
