I’m a NSA who moved from Colorado to Florida. My background check will expire soon. I thought that being bonded in Florida covers me for my background check. Does anyone know? Thanks!
Are you talking about the BGC through NNA? If so, then no, the bond and the BGC are two different things.

No, I got bonded through Florida Notary Association. My background check was with NNA a year ago. So I guess we have to get checked again every year?
If you’re already commissioned in FL (sounds like you are) and you want to do loan signings (which it also sounds like you’re aiming for) then that’s an issue between you and whoever did your BGC to be a signing agent a year ago - has nothing to do with the bond you posted to be commissioned…
Thanks to the NNA, most if not all companies now require you get a BGC every year to continue to work with them - sorry!!

Yep, unfortunately we have to pay every year to get re-certified by passing the NSA test and BGC. Ugh…
