Oh my goodness, Why did I not check this forum before taking a job from NB Notaries, LLC?…. It’s now been 3 months. How are they still in business. Any Washington Escrow folks out there? Beware. Please get the word out. These guy should be out of business, if they are not yet. I wonder if there is a way to nofity Signing order – they have SCAM signing company using their platform.

I hesitated putting this on the forum here as the person from NB Notaries may be a member and read it. I have a horrible experience with this company. I have accepted and order and after I got it it said to deliver the documents to an escrow in a different city. I emailed back asking for $50 for currier fees since this is the running rate for that and I am going to be delivering and not mailing the documents. I didn’t even get a counter offer on that as they refused. Then I sated that I see their charges for the notary on the Settlement statement are very high and they can afford to pay me or hire another service for delivery of the documents. The owner called me and in a very rude, angry and unprofessional tone was telling (actually yelling literally at me), that I shouldn’t have accepted the order. I told him that with the offer it did not say that I have to deliver in person and where. Anyway, the conversation was very ugly. Just to mention this call happened after I was refused the courier fees and I previously called the escrow where I was supposed to deliver and made a comment that I should be paid for delivery after he charges them so much for notary services. The person from escrow obviously called and reported to him my comment, so this is why he called me angry in person. I have never done work for him before and did not complete this one.
Just letting you know who you are dealing with and be prepared. You should complain the non payment to Better Business even if he is not registered with them. There is more to the story, but I do not want to get in trouble reveling more here in case he reads it. Since you probably are not going to take more orders from NB, I assume, call the title and escrow and complain. At least let them know how this signing company operates and I know they will not pay you but tell them that you will be billing them if he doesn’t pay you. I am pretty sure they will be mad and reach out to him, then he will be pissed and call you. This is the way to get a hold of him as he probably do not answer the calls.
Yes, I am now a victim of NB notaries scam as well. I completed a signing with them 10/7/2025. The contract stated they pay within 60 days. Now I try their contact # it is not in service. This feels like such a slap in the face after travel, print, and stamp.
Where have people got the idea that the amount on the settlement statement should go to the notary?
I feel your pain. What I totally don’t understand is why we do not get paid on the date that escrow closes. It’s mandatory for monies to be distributed to banks, clients, etc. but not Notaries?? Just seems a bit unfair that the SS holds the money for their interests alone.
@loricnotary22 if you’re not specifically listed on the CD you most likely are paid out of TC/Escrow company’s operating account, so your payment is probably sent out when they pay their bills. If there’s a signing service involved, that’s another delay as the operating account pays them then they pay you. SS are supposed to keep enough capital to pay notaries within a certain amount of time after signing - but we all know many of them, if not most, don’t keep that cushion.
I don’t ever examine a CD looking for the notary fee charge. It’s just counterproductive. We accept the fee we accept. What is charged isn’t related to that conversation. You see a fee from title and or escrow a notary is in there somewhere I suppose.
No were in my post I said I should be getting paid as per notary fee stated on the settlement statement. Just referring to the fact that NB Notary fees there were high and N B can afford to pay for courier fees to me or someone else.
On the phone right now with Nermin Buljubasic, owner of NB Notary Services. You can google his name which is attached to another business “North Seattle Construction Solutions” call the number on the website and he will answer. He issued a check through quickbooks. If he owes you money, call him asap.
