I don’t want to become an LLC so what is the purpose of getting business cards & what would I put on it. I would like to drum up business with local title companies, but not sure what tools to use.
Eh, business cards aren’t expensive so it isn’t a huge expense to get them. I always suggest that people go to local meetings, like a Council of Realtors meeting, to meet realtors and title officers in person, and you can always exchange business cards with them in those settings. However, I prefer to send the person that I’m speaking with a text message or an email while I’m talking to them, that way we both have each others information in a convenient way - just about everyone uses / carries their cell phones for business, but people won’t always carry around a business card that you give them. I personally haven’t ordered or used business cards for over five years, but you have to figure out what works for you.
Thank you very much klewis!
Business cards are also a way to identify yourself if you are notarizing loan documents or forms. People are very leery nowadays about who they let in their home. Having a card or a badge identifying yourself as a professional makes a big difference. On your card it can list your name, number, email address and maybe even your picture, if you have one. Vista Print is a great place to start. They have lots of examples to assist you. Good luck and I trust this helps!
Thank you very much coni! The feedback does help & I completely agree with your comment.
Business cards provide an immediate bona fide, as well as establishing professionalism. I hand out business cards at meetings, post them on bulletin boards, drop them off at title offices, etc. etc. I use GotPrint.com rather than Vista - the user interface is better and the cost is the same.
Business name, your name, title, services provided (ie Notary Public, Mobile Notary, Notary Signing Agent), phone, email. Keep it simple and uncluttered. A photo or background that provides a hint about your business is good.
