Document Scanner

Looking for recommendation on a stand alone scanner. Are portable scanners good for large packages? Don’t want to break the bank as I am winding down. My scanner on my all in one broke and left me stranded. I scanned using Genius Scan for the critical documents per title but for the future I need one to scan entire package.

Thanks

@sacsjourney Excellent question! :partying_face:

Just wondering if by any chance were you able to locate the immediately available information found within the Notary Cafe database on the topic of scanners?

This information is a TREASURE TROVE!

Most members express that they find it difficult/NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE to locate the Search Function in order to access the wealth of information available within the database that has been generously contributed by your sagacious fellow business owners over the years . . .

To be helpful, I’ve inserted an image for you & others [see below] to help members locate it to unlock the wisdom & knowledge of other members on the forums.

I’ve performed a cursory Search on your behalf and the results show ** 50+ separate** threads (including yours) about scanners. There is a plethora of data immediately available on the threads within Notary Cafe. :sparkles::tulip:

I have a Fujitsu ScanSnap ix1500 that I LOVE! Got it several years ago on Amazon for approximately $350 and also purchased the ScanSnap carrying case at the same time. The scanner is fast, acts as its own WiFi and will do double sided at same time also scans b/w or color. Scans different page sizes automatically. Customer service is wonderful!

The only drawback is that it’ll only scan ~50 pages at a time. So, when scanning a full package, I simply split it into several (PDF) sections – i.e. 1of3, 2of 3, etc. Like I said, it is fast so even splitting, scanning goes fast.

I would suggest doing your research. There may be newer versions of this wonderful gadget! :slight_smile:
