Congratulations! I wish I could say the same…
I would say very good things but about half an hour ago I received an email that N3Notary voided my check. Now I can’t get anyone to answer my calls or return an email.
you will get them. Heck there are single notary companies that bid some of these jobs only to rebid them out for 50-60 bucks cheaper. So they took the call accepted the job and gave you 60-80 bucks and they made the same to just turn it over on the phone. Just keep an eye open. You will see exactly what I am talking about.
Nope 24 years in the business…not dipping
I really feel bad for people just getting into the business because somewhere along the way I believe someone sold many of you a dream of making tons of money, easily. I’m not saying 6 figures is not possible because I am one of those people who can make it ONLY because I established myself on some priority list. I literally chose not to because I only want to work 3-4 days a week and the more you become someone’s “go to” Signing Agent the more you have to work. I have been burnt out by this work a few times over the past 24 years so now I know my limits and really would like to be supportive of Signing Agents and advocate for better fees and respect for our services. I had a few of those 6 figure years but it was a lot of long days in my car and working everyday of the week. I think it is harder now for a number of reasons including more responsibility that the SA has now. Another big problem I see is that there are so many Signing Agents now and there are probably only 1% of them making 6 figures or and perhaps 2-3% making high 5 figures. Those SAs are working hard. I am a licensed Real Estate Broker also, been inactive since the crisis in 2007 and so I remember the time…well it is still happening…where people were sold this dream of riches if they became a Real Estate Agent. Many Real Estate agents have full time jobs (elsewhere) because they cannot make a living selling real estate. No one talks about this. There are only about 1% of real estate agents who are top producers. So now they have mislead Signing Agents…sold them a dream, had them invest in all these classes, memberships, supplies, etc. to sit on the sideline and wonder what they are doing wrong or not enough of. Just like for the Real Estate agent, there is really no magic solution to getting work. Many have used superior marketing plans, exhausted their sphere of influence, etc. but it still has not amounted to this great wealth or even a steady income. All I can say is that you should keep trying BUT WITH YOUR EYES WIDE OPEN understanding that it may or may not pop off for you. Depending on your location or market conditions, you may pick up some work and more importantly establish a relationship or two that will get you on someone’s priority list. In the meantime…hold on to that job and do not give up exploring other entrepreneurial ideas that are not saturated.
no jay i do loan mods for that fee $75 and up

What was it like being in real estate in the 2007-2008 years?
Real estate in 2008/2009 sucked. Now there’s Zillow and Redfin and other high-tech competitors jamming the same arena. Unless you’re a real pro and in it for the long haul, real estate will eat you up.
