I think I want to try that out. I currently do not keep printer or scanner in my car.

Yes I agree! I’ve not really found the need for the scanner as the app genius scan works great in case I must scan while out (sellers are usually small enough to do this with) and most refis that require scans are for quality checks so I always ask if I may need more then the usual 2 hours to scan back like if I have another closing right after… but the printer is a must allowing you to accept a asap which may be close to you… living in Alabama there are many remote areas so getting home to print can be hard… Def worth the money…
further yes Refis are down but equity loans and buyers are high… network if your confidence is high on them, my area is officially the fastest growing in America with the engineer capital of the world, not to mention Space and rocket center, nasa etc but everywhere is growing with new buys… stop at every real estate office and title company locally, ask for an impromptu test, you might be surprised that they need extra help or may have you join them in their closings… 2 out of 10 is great for one independent NSA, especially when the closings are now 200 and up… and sometimes that 200 is the company printing for you!! Just pace yourself, rule out low ones as you go… next thing you know your closing 5-7 a day M-F…

I am looking into putting my extra printer/scanner in my car and was concerned about the 120 temp here in AZ. Can you point me in the direction of the type of temperature box i could use?
I have a large styrofoam cooler box that would fit the printer that I have if I turn it sideways… do you think that would work. It is very thick and we have used it in the past when we go on long trips.
Haven’t had any temp issues with my mobile office during winters or summers in a year and a half. Brother 6200 dwt and epson 500W.

It’s nice, once you leave for the day you can hit your appts, do some marketing, print last minute stuff if you need it and never have to come back home.

For the most part, I don’t think I will really use the mobile office for more than printing the ID and scanning back. Most of my signings are within 1/2 hour or less from home so for the most part, it’s just for convenience. In AZ it gets up to 120 degrees. There are times when I enter the vehicle and have to take off my jewelry because it conducts heat instantly.

Yes, he does… I’m just trying to avoid running back and forth from home to FedEx as much as possible. Gas prices are way too high.
Gotcha, MD it’s 95-100, so not as bad as AZ.
The IDs I just pdf scan with my phone and email to post closing. The scanner you can always just bring in and scan from the table.
I’m all over, 250-350 miles a day, so definitely a necessity.

I’m so sorry how long its been on this, my husband used the insulation like regular home, 3 sides, but I have easy in/out process to disconnect at the end of the day and set in my garage. Its in my trunk and so far so good… ohh he also used spray foam insulation all over 3 sides too.

there my number one customer requested a signing today could not take it wrong time.
They are still in business, yes Stewart owns them now.
in fairness , if the docs had been ready somewhat on time she would have printed at home , its not her fault they didn’t have docs ready for her and she had to be away from home to get the docs. so I can excuse it in this situation. is it best practice ? no. is it her fault ? also no. am I aware this thread is years old? yes
