There has been a lot of talk regarding a possible interest rate reduction by the Fed in September. Will this generate more work for us? Or just a trickle…
I’ve already had 3 refi’s in the last week, from the little dip that happened a bit ago. I think it’s going to depend on how much it goes down but I think there is a chance. Think there is also a really good chance that SS’s are going to try to capture as much of that profit as possible, since they are out here offering $20-40 a signing, for 50 miles one way.
Agree. They’ve already trained the newbs to work for chump change.

A rate reduction of 1/4 or 1/2 point isn’t going to make much of an impact, in my opinion. I think it will take at least a few of those before we see much increased activity.

Agree. It’s going to take a while for the market to turn around. And, by the time it does, RON will be more positioned for the business (if it also survives).
These low fees are crazy, I don’t even reply, I listen to you guys, these companies do t even consider tolls, cost of paper, and definitely not mileage. You guys give good advice.

I have been doing REFIs assignments past few weeks but all started at $85. Its ok for now. Hope more work escalates next month etc…Moving on…
$85 is not OK for a refi. Ever. Hope you raised the bar.

CA…my thinking is that there was still alot of real estate sold in the last couple years and those buyers paid the high 7 plus percent rates so if we got down to 4-5% I would think there would be an increase in signings but who knows with all the crazy stuff going on

Aloha, I’ve had a few REFIs. (4) for $85. each from a referral company. past weeks. Just hoping for more from a direct title. Im “hitting-the-pavement” every week. and…just recently started full-time again. Hope loan packages come in more…interest rates kinda’ low right now. —Cheers! fellow-notaries
