Did anyone else get a request rescinded email from Mortgage Connect saying the notary E & O Compliance was no longer required?
Yep. From Mortgage Connect Vendor Management:
"Dear Valued Partner:
Please be advised that Mortgage Connect rescinds the earlier notification and request for a Signing Agent Compliance Agreement.
Please disregard the communication.
We apologize for any confusion on our part."
They must’ve received LOTS of complaints/inquiries.

Certainly lots of feedback. I thought it was an odd request and a bad precedent to set. Better to stop hiring notaries who return packages that can’t be filed.
