Believe me, I have tried but it is hard when no one responds to my phone calls, texts and e-mails.
After two jobs completed without payment, I have already stopped accepting any jobs from Notary Dash.
I guess I should chalk up the non payment experiences to learning. I now Google every company that offers me a job and if I find a lot of negative comments from other notaries, I reject the job. I am already certified as a loan signing agent through NNA but I am about to start working on being certified through Notary2Pro. It is my understanding that Notary2Pro will put your name on a list that reputable companies will use.
Would you call the police department in their area or yours? Why not contact the Attorney General of their state?
I took Notary2Pro and never heard of any such list. Be careful. Their course is really outdated.
I highly doubt that the middleman is providing you with a check upfront and then waiting to be compensated by the title company. One can only hope for the best.
@lynne1 I hope you found the information beneficial.
As I referenced above within my post, there is a List of reputable hiring entities that youāll have access to within the Notary2Pro Elite Training Course (see screen shot below).
Check it out at their website: notary2pro .com
NOTE: Their curriculum recently underwent a comprehensive updating & revision of the material.
See more about that here:
P.S. I receive no compensation or remuneration of any type or kind as a result of my first-hand experiential review above.
P.P.S. Unfortunately, Carol has passed from our earthly plane. I hope she Rests In Peace. Iām grateful to have made her acquaintance and studied under her tutelage.
Why spend the money. I donāt know where you are Sign up with the following two companies if you have experience. Signature Closers and Signature Xcel they are my best customers.
This information is incorrect. Your 3 requirements as a Notary Public:
- confirm identification
- Witness signature
- Observe mental capacity.
Notary Publics should never advise on any document. Thatās what opens them up to legal issues.
If you like spending money go for it, but very good training can be had from Notary training school for less then $100.
Iām owed over 20k by 100+ deadbeat signing services that I will never be able to collect from. But I have done a lot of volume over the last 25+ years. When I first started and then after the mortgage market crashed after 2008, I got scammed plenty of times. you know when youāre a remote closer, you canāt just drive to their office and ask them to pay you. They just ignore your emails or your phone calls; heck, youāre in another state. Especially stay away from the ones that ask you to do something cheap and they will put you on their preferred list. I just hang up on those.
Honestlyā¦none of 'em. Which is not to say there arenāt many good companies who pay fairly and on time always. BUT my advice is āresearch/verifyā every timeā¦and, most importantlyā¦believe what others say (youāre not special). A company can be really good and suddenly theyāre very bad. Some of these jerks even pay you quickly on the first one; then flood you with jobs and then donāt pay (& move on to next notary).
Been doing this for over 30 years and have only not gotten paid by ONE company, who Iād worked with a LOT, always paid well & timely UNTILā¦they went OOB/bankrupt the very same day I completed my last signing for them. Never did get paid for that one or the other 2 Iād done for them the week before.
Notaries that āadviseā are called Notarios. Check your handbook from the Secretary of State; there are lots of laws addressing that scam.
