Newby Signing Agent

Good afternoon,

I am a Notary currently and just finished the majority of the process for the Signing Agent portion. Any good free courses?

Another question is, who do I need to market to exactly? Banks? Real Estate Agents? Law Offices?

Just want to make sure once I have my certification I can market myself currently to the right people.

Sincerely,
Newby

Complete your profile here - that will go a long way toward expanding your exposure.

Get an EIN - never use your social security number - takes 5 minutes at irs.gov

Be aware that in TX, certain loans must be closed in a title office or attorney’s office - and certain loans require you provide the signers with a copy of the SIGNED package - not a blank copy.

There’s a FB page run by a TX notary named Brenda Stone - she is brilliant - see if you can find her group - you’ll learn a lot from her; just make sure to not take everything posted on FB as gospel unless Brenda says it…LOL!!

Go to Notary Rotary - get a basic (free) listing then go to Signing Central there and start working your way down the list of signing companies that notaries have rated - believe what you read - go for 3 stars or more, preferably 4 and 5 star companies.

Good Luck

The only loan in Texas that needs to be done in a title company or attorney’s office is a cash-out refi. There is a lot of work that is not that type of loan.

I know - that’s why I said “certain” loans

Helocs have to be closed that way too…not just cash-out refis

Do you suggest marketing to real estate agents as well?
