I’ve recently signed up on the platform and am curious to know how are signings assigned to notaries. Thank you.
The Notary Café website is a Directory.
It’s one method to increase your visibility to potential clients.
Broadly speaking, Notary Café isn’t Job Board nor does the Notary Café team send you signing orders.
I’ve been a Notary Café Professional member from the onset of my services within this Business Sector. I value my membership here for a variety of reasons. Regularly, clients new to me say they found me on Notary Café, which as a business owner is very helpful information.
Although, it’s important to keep in mind that most clients don’t lead their conversation with how they located you as that’s not germane to the objective of their call.
So, in order to know where your business leads are originating from, the onus is upon you to include in your questions to new clients: “Oh, how did you locate/find my services please?”
This will help you know where your marketing budget is supporting your business and where it is lackluster . . .

P.S. If you have other questions, it’s very helpful (and you’ll access the answer to your query much quicker) if you execute a Search on the Notary Café forum database of threads (upper right ribbon bar - magnifying glass => to the right of the SUPPORT tab.

Welcome to Notary Cafe!
Our system is a little different than some in that we here at Notary Cafe do not assign notaries to a specific job. Our goal is to help connect you with those in need of your services, with the understanding that they can view your profile and contact you if they feel you will be a good fit for their signing. Our FAQ page has a more detailed explanation of how the process works.
We recommend focusing on the following areas of your profile to maximize visibility:

Professional Introduction & Experience - We recommend adding 1-2 paragraphs here since this section is where signing services can learn about your education/training and experience to help decide whether to contact you for a signing.

Zip Codes - Pro members have the option to add an additional four zip codes to their profile, for a total of five. This will greatly increase the number of searches your profile appears in.

Public Search - Pro members also have the ability to activate the Public Search option on their profile. The Find a Notary page is where anyone (such as individuals, title companies, other signing services who are not our clients, attorneys, etc.) can search for a notary without having to log in - thus providing additional opportunities for you outside our network of Signing Service clients.
If you are a Certified Signing Agent, we also recommend selecting “CSA” in the Capabilities section toward the bottom of your profile. That will include your listing in searches that filter for this specific qualification.
