Nobody wants to work anymore! The era of laziness!
This is scary people! I’m seeing way too many “Now Hiring” signs out there! What is going on! Why are young people not working! I saw this McDonald’s sign I was like are you kidding? I pulled up to pay for my coffee and said to the guy at the window they pay $17- $20 an hour to work here? And I said when I was working at McDonald it was $3.00 an hour! He said he started at $7 an hr., he told me that even at that rate, they still can’t find anybody to work! He also said King Soopers across the street pays $22 an hour and they can’t find anybody to work either! There were a couple shops across the parking lot with “available” signs on the doors! I asked what happened to them? He said, “they closed they can’t find workers!” What the H…. is going on? How do people survive without working? I also heard Starbucks is paying $22-$25 an hour out there!

I see the same thing here in AZ. I remember making $3.15/hr as a cashier at a plat shop. $17/hr jobs posted here at fast food establishments with full benefits and Tuition Reimbursement too.

Ya make me want to go get a job…the only thing is there is a lot of age discrimination out there, plus there are a lot of things I just couldn’t do any more–like carry a fully loaded tray in a restaurant, stand for hours,
That’s were “accommodation” comes into play. At the rate they are looking for people I think at this point they will take what they can get… age or no age.

I was just about to say the same thing… I am so hooked on the iced coffee and the milkshake… may not be real milk, the only shake that my stomach will tolerate… lol
I am a total zombie without McDonald’s coffee!
I only order regular large coffee with 3 and 3!

They don’t want to work because they all want to own a business! They fail to realize that most business owners like myself started out at McDonald’s and Wendy’s making $5.50 an
hour smelling like pickles every day! 
I was proud and happy about my $200-300 paychecks!

If I don’t start off with McDonald’s coffee, I will show up at the customers house… then I will say I’m sorry can you tell me what I’m doing here? ……true….

Hey girl, I only got $3.00 an hr maybe less than that like $2.75 when I was working at McDonald’s back in the 80s!

It’s no longer “cool” to say you work at McDonald’s. When I worked there the whole school and neighborhood worked there!
No shame and I loved working the drive thru!

Which iced coffee do you order?
Yup back in the old days all the kids in town got their first work experience at the neighborhood McDonald’s, or Domino Pizza!
Although interest rates back then 13% to 16% maybe higher! You can get a nice 4 bedrooms home for $55,000! I remember my parents bought a 4 bedrooms house for $55,000 at 13% interest rate!

I love the vanilla Ice Coffee. Loaded with calories so I try my best to only have it three times a week max… I say try… but with temperatures like today at 97, it’s hard to resist.
I never worked the fast-food route but I loved it when my friends did… lol… it had it’s perks…
