Nobody wants to work anymore! The era of laziness!

Hahaha nice………:joy::joy::joy::joy:….

preach it! I know that’s the truth

To play devils advocate I think it’s because people are getting tired of getting treated poorly at their jobs. The pandemic I believe opened that door for many people.

I will say however not everyone should run a business because I do believe some people prosper better as an employee than as a boss. Just because there’s a lot that goes into running a business. But with the cost of living going up, that’s probably another reason why people don’t want to bother returning to these type of jobs. Plus many jobs are very aggressive with work schedules like 9-5s and with schedules like that I don’t know anyone gets anything done honestly outside of work.

But I know some people like it which there’s nothing wrong with that either.

Well I appreciate those people who do the 9-5 we need them as much as they need people who want to run their own business. What I find is that some of these young people want to short cut life and go from school to running their own business without the life experience having a 9-5 can provide. I have been both boss and employee now boss again. I understand what it takes to keep and employee happy and what to avoid to make them leave.

Many buy into the social media hype and think it’s easy to run and start a business and base their decisions on people like Mark (FB) and drop out of college because they can live at home with their parents and sell T-Shirts, make up line or an App with subscribers to become financially stable.

Check this out. This came from Black Rock President.

“For the first time, this generation is going to go into a store and not be able to get what they want,” Kapito said at conference held in Austin by the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association. “And we have a very entitled generation that has never had to sacrifice.”

The economy is reckoning with what he dubbed “scarcity inflation,” or the fallout from a shortage of workers, agricultural supplies and housing, and of oil in some regions.

“I would put on your seat belts because this is something that we haven’t seen,” Kapito said.”

now see I hear you! Because as a boss you are probably part of the few percentage of bosses that treated their employees fairly. But keep in mind, many probably didn’t have your mentality and just only saw the bottom line.

And as for the 9-5. I have worked 9-5 jobs that offered a different timeframe like a 3:30-midnight so that way I got to work my job but still have the balance that I feel I wanted. Because even with my notary business I have not quit my day job. But I do feel when employees are balanced they bring a better them to work. And I also think it’s because most people are working remotely which I don’t blame them.

What I’ll say to that is, I think the new generation coming up do want to find a smarter way to work. Because sometimes you can work hard but if your not working efficiently nothing gets done if that makes sense?

Now I don’t have social media but I do understand it’s power that it has people believing things are 1,2,3 when there is work involved. I freelance write and I can tell you it’s taken me 6 years to get worthwhile writing jobs that I can make a living off of. But that took time. People are very impatient so I agree with that lol

I know for sure I cannot have a boss or be someone’s boss again. I love my freedom, I would never want to do adult sitting ever again!

Adult sitting? Sounds like when I used to work as a CNA, that was one of my toughest jobs but right before the pandemic hit I said “no more” lol. :joy::joy:

Adult sitting I am referring to employees working under me! :+1:

Yeah I have to agree with that. I currently control my schedule how I work and I’m mainly writing and it’s a great feeling. I don’t have to deal with anyone. I love it :joy::joy:.

I am CNA also, I don’t mind adult sitting as a volunteer. I used to volunteer at places like, “The Little Sisters of the Poor” orphanage and nursing home, etc.

You know what to do Ma’am!

This is a platform for notaries to connect and share experiences. What better way than to take some time out of the stress of the day and be social?

You can not be serious. $20 an hr is not worth it. That barely pays rent in most states. You need $30 to make ends meet in this economy. McDonald’s is just now catching up. Who wants to works for Pennie’s just not to be able to pay they bills at the end of the day
