Notaries: Mac or Windows?

Ok gang what’s your preference?
I know that one is a pretty penny. Do you notice
if one of these is better for printing documents?
What are your thoughts? Thanks

Macs do not play well with Adobe. Yes, there are workarounds that require the ‘doing’. Unless you have a really good reason for wanting a Mac, I’d stick to Windows or be prepared for a bit of frustration and finding the workaround that works for you.

The famous Mac has defects?! hahaha burn Mac, burn! (I’m biased)

I’ve never tried it. I’ll have to give it a test run one day

I have a signing for tomorrow, a Purchase, 165 pages, all printed flawlessly with a $ 165.00 Chrome book, one of my financial secrets…

wow that’s great. Do they last more than a year? My last computer (that recently died (rest in peace))
was a three year old windows HP.

Give Chromebooks a try, they are not expensive and they are very reliable, I bought mine in 2021 when we still had lots of signongs 2 l/2 years and keep working like new, if you have a Windows not expensive for backup will be great!

There was a nasty conflict(s) between thenMAC, Adobe, and Brother printers. When using this combination I had to print the package upside down to keep from cutting off the page bottoms. I got fed up and bought a PC. Reduced time and improved reliability of my processes.

I’ve always been a Mac user. All apple products in this household, ha! However, when becoming a mobile notary/signing agent and having to print out documents I noticed that Mac did not play well at all with Adobe. I wasn’t about to buy a new computer so I simply used windows within my mac and that solved everything. There is a program called Parallels. I don’t have to log out of my Mac to log into Windows, it all runs on my Mac and I am able to print without any issues now.

Most welcome, hope it helps any other Mac owners out there who don’t want to buy a PC, at least it’s an option.

When it comes to notaries, the choice between Mac and Windows can depend on personal preference and your specific needs.

By the way, speaking of Windows, have you ever considered looking for a cheap Windows key? It can come in handy, especially if you need to set up a Windows PC for document-related tasks. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and I’m sure your insights will help others make the right choice for their notary work!

Windows for sure, Mac has too many restrictions.
