Hi, I have been a Mobile NSA since December 2007. Many things have changed since then; the income has drastically dropped, and it has become increasingly more difficult to receive signings. One thing I did from the very beginning was join NNA, Notary Cafe, and 123 Notary, and the cost was reasonable. NNA has now become the most expensive of all.
I have received some business from each of these, but it has decreased significantly in the last few years. I do believe Notary Cafe is the best to join, and I have received the most business from them. As far as 123 Notary, Jeremy and Carmen are both extremely rude and unhelpful. I have no idea what has happened to that business because nobody answers anything, but I don’t intend to keep trying to reach them. They really don’t seem to want business.
Can anyone recommend another Signing company to join that is either free or has a reasonable yearly cost? I have received many text messages from Snapdocs which is a very poor company. No matter how many times I send a reply that I’m available, they have never given me ONE signing, so I do not recommend them at all. Unfortunately, they seem to come from Notary Cafe, and I don’t quite understand that business relationship.
Thank you for reading, and I look forward to any responses.
Gerry
You’ve been around longer than I have, but I get steady work and I use all of these. I don’t take the low ball offers. You may already be Fidelity approved, if not, there’s no charge just the application process. Mortgage Connect low balls everything however I counter offer on low ball offers and do okay. I’m probably not telling you anything you don’t already know but - areas that are saturated with new notaries - I believe these things level out and are cyclical. You can also sign up for American Title via signwithjot.com. They like experience. I don’t pay for any website. I have no idea if that’s helpful, but that’s all I can tell you.
Hi Gerry/Pete, you could try https://www.notaryrotary.com/ They are based in Iowa.
“Basic Membership with Notary Rotary is free and is recommended for notaries who perform notarial duties for their employers. Premier Membership is recommended for professional notaries public , who are generally working as loan signing agents. Premier Membership annual fees currently range from $79 to $139 and include a number of benefits that should easily pay for themselves over the course of a year.”
But truly the best form of advertising is creating yourself a FREE Google business listing. I get more traction with Google than anything else.
I too wonder what the heck the deal is with 123notary and why owners are as non-responsive as they are and when they do bother to reply, it feels like rudeness. TOO ABRUPT. Not what they say but how they say it. Comes across mostly as incredibly rude. That’s my experience anyway.
Right now, their website is non-responsive and issue is not on my end. Hope it is just temporary. I tried ping and tracert
Notary Cafe is not a hiring entity. Notary Cafe is a directory where hiring companies search for notaries. Make sure your profile here is complete and compels hiring companies to hire YOU rather than your competition.
As you have found, Notary Cafe is also a forum where notaries can come and inquire about or share information.
It’s up to each one of us to market our services and not wait around for someone else to do it for us. Market direct for the best results.
I have had luck on a few other platforms. I find snapdocs is the best, consistent one though. I just started back with doing NSA full time, taxes and such and have received 11 signings from them in January. All at the $100-$125 pricing. I am having lots of trouble with NotaryDash though. They low ball, lots of negotiations very slow pay and you have to invoice them which they haggle and fight. Rebuilding the business is taking time. I barely did $2,000 in Januarys sales off of my signings. Most of the signings were within an hour or so.
Wow!!! 11 signings from Snapdocs? And $100 - $125??? As I stated above, I must have accepted at least 30 signings from them, and they have never given me one yet!!!
I’m the same. I’ve been doing this for a while and I’ve only been given 2 Signings maybe from snap docs. I get way more from signing order and random companies that found on find a notary
