I would love to hear from the vets on this site and even the newer notaries… What made you get into the business of Loan Signing?
For me… I was introduced to it by my husband who was introduced to it by a notary that visited our inlaws one day when we were visiting. She spoke to my husband directly( a little flirty if you ask me… but I digress) and pretty much ignored me. He watched Youtube videos and saw that notaries were making up to $10,000 a month and the notary that he spoke with said she made the same.
Me, I’m a bit more jaded so I was not going to jump on the get-rich bandwagon. So after a few months of being bored out of my mind and looking for a way to make extra cash I looked into it further. I had more of a realistic view and based on my finance background thought it would be a fun thing to do.
So far I love it and enjoy the ride… don’t know how long I will be doing it as I’m fending off job offers ( although not looking for one). But I love being an LSA!

I literally had a dream that showed me peoples bringing me money. One of the bills someone handed me had a 5 on one side and a 2 on the other side. I didn’t know what think… then I was like oh maybe I’ll become a notary and by the time I retire I can just do that full time. I had no idea about becoming a signing agent until I actually applied for my notary license.

My story
25+ year career in CT as a notary and doing real estate closings and title review and reso!ution…always wanted to work for myself…husband retired from Post Office and we moved to Florida for him to realize his retirement dreams (land with horses), so I figured “if I have to start over here is my chance”… and voila! Linda the Notary Signing Agent was born.

Love horseback riding… thank you for sharing
I want to chime and say. For me it was the ability of being able to work for myself. Because whenever people hear of self employment opportunities it was always the same spiel which was real estate, investing etc. and while I know those are worthwhile I feel over time I would work my way up to that but needed something in the meanwhile. And I already had Notary Public experience but just now started taking it seriously.
Even though Notary work it seems in my area (both GNW and LSA) are slow, I don’t let it deter me. One of My favorite show growing up was As the World Turns. And the world will turn again and I’ll be waiting for that moment to catch those loan signings. Nothing stays the same forever. Lol
