Prices are going up... Save where you can

We cannot control the price of gas but we can control how we shop for supplies.

Today I purchased supplies from Staples using my rewards points and coupon codes as shown below. One of the coupon codes I use was for the toner which gives me 30% cashback rewards ( $22.00) which I will use again next month when I shop for supplies.

Walmart also has paper on sale, got that too..

I noticed this week alone toner has gone up by almost $5! Sheesh!
I went ahead and stocked up as I know prices are not going down anytime soon. I also order a toner and drum kit to test out from LD products. I’m hoping I can switch to a generic version because brothers is hitting a sista’s pockets😂

I just used my rewards points again last month from staples to by toner for $60.00 I’m so afraid of using off-the-brand toners that I am not ready to chance it yet. I too am all stocked up for at least another month or two.

Same here, I get the TN-880 with Staples Advantage.
I’ve done about 4 or 5 off brands and I’m not going down thar road again.
Plus I get 12-14,000 pages which lasts a very long time when you don’t print most of your docs.

I need to up my staple’s points. I’m closer to Office Depot and that’s why I use them . I bought the generic for my side printer. I’m way too nervous about it to use for my main printer.

I stopped buying my ink cartridges from the usual office supplies and now buy all of them through EBAY,you just have to buy GENUINE in my case HP Ink carttridges…I don’t like the remanufactured ones…so I save over 50% sometimes more…Good Luck ps I talked to the office supplies stores and with the tariffs their prices have zoomed up almost daily…

I pulled this up from March 2022. October 2025 - that case of 10 reams of letter paper is $49.88.

And that’s the best price I can find for letter paper by the case.

I’ve been getting 10 reams for $36.99 at Costco. Even Office Depot has specials where you can get it for $39.99 if you order it online.

Not a Costco member. Office Depot is a 70 mile round trip. Walmart warehouse is local so shipping is free. Maybe I’ll rethink Costco but it’s a 70 mile round trip also. Don’t we drive enough?

I see your problem but maybe Costco delivers if you buy online? I have several local Costco warehouses that I can buy from so it isn’t a problem for me.

First I have to get a membership. Am I one of the only people in the country without a membership?

Possibly.

I became a member in 1980 during the Price Club era. After 45 years of loyalty, there ought to be some exclusive perks for long-standing members like myself.

@DYEAC Did you mean TONER cartridges as the loan documents are required to be printed on LASER printers?

:swan:

No…I use HP INK CARTRIDGES …Prints beautifully and no requirement here in Ca to use only LASER…I have an HP 9025E with dual trays and had it for years …best printer i ever had and I probably print about 10,000 copies a month. However I have the best support in maintenance and repair company and I am sure they are responsible for my good run on thiis printer…

@DYEAC Interesting . . .

A few years ago, I had the distinct pleasure of being introduced to an online shopping club by a notary colleague from Maryland, and it has truly revolutionized the way I approach my personal and professional expenses. Since joining, I’ve been able to earn shopping loyalty dollars whenever I make purchases at major retailers such as Sam’s Club, Staples/Office Depot, and Home Depot, as well as numerous other establishments. These earned loyalty dollars have become incredibly effective in reducing my overall costs for a wide array of consumer goods, personal items, and essential household supplies. In fact, I’m currently enjoying savings ranging from a very impressive 30% to a remarkable 50% on these purchases. Beyond the significant cost reductions, the shopping club has also implemented a fantastic referral program. Each month, I receive referral checks, and, quite surprisingly, these checks have now begun to match the income I previously earned from my loan signing fees. The convenience factor is also outstanding; all my purchases are conveniently shipped directly to my home, saving me valuable time and effort. As a licensed financial professional, I always prioritize thorough research and analysis. Therefore, I took the time to perform a comprehensive due diligence process and a detailed budget analysis before fully committing to this program. After this careful assessment, I’m delighted to report that I now shop more strategically, effectively manage my finances, and have experienced a notable increase in my overall business profitability. @donaldsonnp thank you for taking the time to share your experience too.
