Signing Agencies - no signings

I have been a Notary on and off for 20 years. I have been a Financial Planner/Investment Advisor/Insurance Agent for 30 years. I got my Certification last year and have been building this aspect of my practice. I signed up with numerous firms who provide Signing Assignments. Some have panned out, while I have not received any signings from: USA Signing Agent, HireNotary.com, Notary Dash, Notary Resume, American Society of Notaries, United States Notary Association. I was getting some decent Signings from National Link, however, since they are now affiliated with Service Link (I refused to agree to SL’s low recommended fees), they have dropped off. The local NJ title companies I work with pay $150 to $225 per closing. I would like to hear from this community who they are working with and are they paying a decent fee. Your comments are appreciated.

I’m in rural Eastern WA State. I counter most offers and either get paid my fee or don’t do a signing. I work with a dozen different platforms. There are a few title companies who reach me direct, but they all assign orders through whatever platform they prefer to use.

Keep your $150-$225 local tille co’s happy and hope they never mandate ‘must go thru any given platform’ because the platforms all have 1 think in common–lowest accepted offer gets the job.

@cjmeijer just so you know, American Society of Notaries is an association, like NNA. You won’t get work from them but you do get education, supplies and a listing (I believe).

No answers for the other companies

Linda, I am aware of that. However, I do get requests from NNA, usually Estate Planning (Wills, POA, etc.).

That’s because, since you’re a member of NNA, you’re listed in their list of signing agents to be contacted. (“found you on the NNA”) ASN doesn’t work that way

I did a signing with National Link for the first time in a year. When I went into their website to try to give they my new address, there was no way to edit it. I called four different numbers. One rang and rang, another was disconnected, a third had no voicemail and the other was not accepting any calls. I emailed them and received no answer. today I tried to email the person who handled the signing but surprise, she was out of office. Done with them. this is no longer a reputable company.
