Signing that Wasn't?

Hello. I wanted to share my signing experience and get feedback.

I received a signing for a refi w/no scanbacks & 40-49 pgs and attorney would be on the phone. It was a phone offer and was told the documents would be sent right away. They were sent within the hour and it turned out to be an application and VA Refi & 389 pgs. I immediately emailed for 24 hours inquiring about the signing & attorney being present; and, I never got a response. I confirmed with the client and everything was okay on his end; however, the signing company told me (text) about an hour before appointment that they were still waiting to find out when the attorney would be available. At this point, I chopped it up as a cancellation and got the invoice ready to send. Three days later, the signing was offered again. I accepted & reprinted the documents. Call the signer, who was glad to hear I would be handling the signing but was confirmed a different day and could no way meet on this day. Apologized and immediately reached out to the SC. No word from the SC; but, the attorney called me @appt. time that day and was not happy with the SC.
I invoiced the SC for the 2 cancelled appointments and they asked if I could remove the cancellation fees from the invoice per they don’t pay cancellation at this time and only pay printing fees. I emailed them back that I understood this may be their policy; yet, my fees are listed and will not change. Explained that I reserved two days for this signing and suffered losses. I thanked them for the opportunity.

Good luck…you’ll need it to get anything more than a print fee.
