Has this entire state gone off the deep end??? I have a closing today. Dealing with a supposed “paralegal” that I don’t think does anything but answer phones & emails.
155 page document. Two issues…
Deed of Trust acknowledgement page is separate and does not acknowledge what’s being notarized. I’m writing it in (gave them the option to change it & they “don’t think it’s necessary & don’t think I need to write it in.” Well, it will be written on the acknowledgement if I’m notarizing it.
Second problem…Buyer’s Hold Harmless Agreement. 6 pages long. Numbered 1of6, 2of6, etc. Page 5 is completely blank. Page 6 is a signature page only. Told them we do not submit incomplete documents to clients for signature; I can renumber the pages, or it would look more professional if they did. They don’t think it’s necessary to do either. I sent them the information as to why the corrections are being requested; scanned the documents with the handwritten corrections; did everything but fix the documents for this girl. If they pull this signing I’m reporting this to every state agency I can think of! If I get a bad review off of it…I’m reporting this to every state agency I can think of. HAVE I LOST MY MIND??? What is going on? It’s one thing after another anymore.
Suggest you search this forum for “paralegal” agencies that send assignments. Many of these companies are not paralegals, have poor pay histories, and many other short comings. Somehow these terrible companies remain in business. Good luck.

Thank you Alice, I didn’t realize! I’ll do that. I will give them a chance to show some integrity. If they don’t…I’ll post their name and address. FYI…during the closing the client found two other problems and made them fix, email and we printed before she would sign. One was that there were 2 lots in the $$ totals but only one lot listed on the Deed. SMH! Closing took 1-1/2 hours!!! Lesson learned!
