Thank you for being here. I watched a Coast2Coast YouTube video yesterday that was very informative. I need to learn the trick to being quick enough to get one of your signings when I receive a text from SnapDocs.

Thank you for introducing yourself. I did a small order for this company. Small as pay and normal as work. Let them know, that a payment lower then $50 is unacceptable anymore. Just doesn’t make sense.

What do you mean lower than $50? It should say lower than $100.

Are they paying more than $30? and taking 30 days to pay it? That don’t make sense!

Please keep in mind that lower than $50 is for something less than 20 pages and you do not have to leave a copy such as with a loan mod. You should not accept if it is more than 2-4 miles one way. Grant deeds have one signature and one notarization and are usually 3 pages and take you less than 10 min to complete from the time you walk in the door until you are walking out. C2C is not offering $50 or less for any signing that is more than 20 pages or more than 2 signatures or notarizations. Full 100 page signings start at a minimum of $75 and go up from there. If you were offered something other than what was stated please forward to my email and we can get it settled as there was a mistake and you will need to be compensated accordingly

Still way too low. First company I blocked. Hopefully I can unblock you someday but those rates tell me that probably won’t happen.

I have my email and my text messages set up to notify me. I have a 5g phone and it seems it might be a slight advantage. Also may be your carrier. I really hate the first come assignment, but have been dealing with that assignment manor in real estate valuations. It means if you are in the car, in the shower, or taking a sip of coffee, you will miss out. Lousy system.
About c2c, I have been doing a number of them and always low pay. They’ve old me lenders are not paying uch for closings. Oookkk. I guess there is always someone who will do it cheaper, yet every day I get an email telling me to make sure I am printing the legal size correctly! When I ask for more money because of size or distance, (zip code does not always determine distance), they usually reassign… On the plus side, I get paid fairly quickly.

Welcome Kasey. The rates described are still below industry standards. Lets pretend I take four 100 page signings @ $75 each in one day and each one takes 2 hours. I would generate $300 income over 8 hours. Now lets factor in travel, tax & expenses -$100. So I will make $200 for 8 hours of work. That’s $25 an hour. That’s the lowest pay in the country in this profession. That’s the sole reason I do not work with your firm. The pay rate is on the poverty scale. Adam @thenotaryshow

Thank you! Maybe I should set up my emails to get notified. I just have it with text currently. Do you mean they are telling you to do the legal size correctly, even on days when you don’t have a job from them? If so, that seems odd.

I get those broadcast emails every couple of days fron c2c saying the biggest problem they have is mis- printed docs and then they are sent cutoff, etc. I can’t imagine an experienced notary would do that but…

FYI, make sure you check the docs, print from Adobe, not thier uploaded file and your scanner is set to read the size. For those that don’t know how to print, here it is. Set up a file with signers name on your computer. I have a folder for notary signings, then sub folders for month and year and sub sub folders with the name. Download the file from the assignment company to your signer’s folder. It should download as an adobe pdf. Print from there. Your print screen should be set for print fit to page and choose size by pdf size. If you have trouble with your printer choosing, you need to talk to your printer tech support and meanwhile print it all on legal. (Note, I thought my second hand printer would not print mixed size jobs. One order came with instructions!!) Secret: download to Adobe!! Easy peasy.

When you scan back, make sure your scanner is set to read size.

Oh, and on notifications. Some come in by text, some by their own software , which is always slowest. And some by email. I have an email only for notification from vendors and have it set up for notifications. The dedicated email address keeps you from being driven nuts by all the spam. My text and email both notify. Set that up. If you need louder notifications, there are apps for extra loud notifications. Only problem is new car interfaces with my phone and the notifications go quiet. I need to figure out that one! Google, here I come!

Hello Kasey and thank you. I have completed ALL the training videos on the Coast2Coast University site. Their information is very helpful and no coast to the notary. Lisa is great? I am in Florida and have not received any requests from them. Do you know which signing service they use?

I got a loan modification for $30…the instructions ask that we show up with 3 copies and its not 2-4 miles away…its actually 24 miles away. The last one I got was also at least 18 miles away…and again with the 3 copies per instructions?! Kasey, I think as you described it, it would be okay…but this is not what is truly happening.
I took the first one because I got my START with you guys and I really like the coast to coast people when I do call but its not been good on the notary end lately.

Also…the document was 21 pages long 2 noterizations per copy and they want us to fully sign and notarize 2 copies and leave a blank with the signer.
As PR, just be careful with what they tell you and what you think is really happening. People are upset for a reason.
