Website for loan signing agent / Notaries

Happy New Year Fellow Public Notaries / Loan Signing Agents!

I am a recent loan signing agent, and I would like some advice on whether setting up a website for my services is a good economic decision. I do both mobile notary and loan signing assignments. I appreciate your time.

Thank you,
Chase

Welcome Chase, the best thing you can do for your notary business to be searchable online. If a person in your area does a Google search for mobile notary or for notary signing agent, having your name/business appear in the search results is the best way for potential hiring companies to find you.

To be found online, create a FREE business profile on Google Maps.

Whether creating business website for your services is a “good economic decision” is a matter of personal opinion. Gary, would YOU trust/hire a business that did not have a professional business website? An online presence adds to credibility, in my opinion. But I tell my students that in the beginning, a formal website is a nice to have, not a need to have. Start with the free Google business listing and then go from there. Cheers! ~Carmen

Thanks Carmen,

Creating a Google Business account was the first thing I did when I started out. Appreciate your feedback.

OK I did a search and did not find you in Upland, so that is why I suggested it.

I will think about it for now; whether I can afford it. I am listed on iPhone / Google under Mobile Notary Doctor, Upland, CA., but I know the website would create more exposure.

Okay, if I do a specific search for “Chase Mobile Notary, Upland, CA” you definitely come up in the search results. But 99.99% of our customers will not know our business name. They will do a generic search. I recommend doing generic search for “mobile notary” and “notary signing agent” near Upland, Ca and the scroll down until you find your listing and click on it. Keep doing that over and over and eventually it moves you up towards the top of the search results.

You have the right idea, Gary. Keep it up!
