I signed up because the instructor for my class said we should but is this a signing agency? Will jobs come from here?
No, Notary Cafe is a place where signing agencies can look up notaries and contact them. The jobs come from the signing agencies, and you won’t even know they found you on Notary Cafe unless they tell you.
If you’re a premier member (which requires payment) members of the general public can look you up and contact you to hire you for general notary work. I haven’t pursued that option.
Is Notary Cafe a signing agency? Short answer - no.
Notary Cafe is not a platform like SnapDocs and the like, but companies do use this database to find notaries to handle their transactions. Complete your profile as much as you can - you’ll then notice that when you sign up with a company, you may get a screen up asking if you have a profile on Notary Cafe - if you answer “yes” your signup process with that company is complete.
Also, as ashton pointed out, there’s the premier membership which gives you additional perks including expanding your search radius by zip code, thereby expanding your service area and the chance of getting calls.
