Truly, launching a business within this business sector of the industry (like many entrepreneurial businesses) is a slog to get things going regarding SOs. Definitely NOT A SPRINT, but definitively is a MARATHON!
The YouTube videos hawking âitâs EASY PEASY to make $100K/yearâ has been debunked repeatedly . . .
Unfortunately, folks do still decide to âinvestâ in the used car salesman tactics of bait & switch! They tell you if youâre not receiving SOs to just launch a Signing Service & youâll be living in a McMansion next week . . .

This segment of the business industry has been in a strong downward spiral regarding volume of SOs and increasingly LOWER fees for many years, but especially since âpost-COVID-19,â etc.
I and the other sages on the Notary Cafe forum regularly endeavor to help new forum members grasp the reality of the unadulterated truth of the current state of this business sector - myriad variables in the financial & real estate markets are negatively affecting this industry.

SPECIAL NOTE: Accessing the database to locate information about potential clients has saved many of us an inordinate amount of time âchasingâ payments for Services professionally provided to potential non-payers . . . 
Signings from this site are random, at best. I wouldnât depend on it if I were you. I have received calls from companies that found me here, but to be honest, itâs few and far between. Your best bet is to sign up with platforms like Snapdocs and Signing Order.

Notary Cafe is a notary public directory, not a signing platform.
People do a search for a notary in their area (using the âFIND A NOTARYâ search function) and then they contact you directly for their signing needs.
You will only know you got hired as a result of your Notary Cafe listing if you ask them how they found you, or if they volunteer that they found you via Notary Cafe.

Well, for general notary work, yes. However, if a notary attempts to sign up with a title company or signing service, and that company uses the NC database, the notary will get a message that theyâre all signed up due to their profile here. Itâs, basically, a hidden platform only for companiesâ access to notary signing agentsâŠnot for handling of docs or fees, a la SnapDocs, etc.
