Chris, if youā€™ve been gone for a year, you need to approach this as a newbie. While you were unable to work, a lot of notaries stepped in to the vacuum. But you can get back in the game, it will just take a while. Hopefully you donā€™t only rely on Snapdocs? I only get maybe 1/4th of my sigings from them.

Donā€™t be discouraged. Yes, things have slowed down, but itā€™s all a cycle. Iā€™ve met my minimum of the month already and itā€™s only the 18th. I probably wonā€™t make my ā€œWay Blessedā€ goal, for awhile, but Iā€™m making my ā€œMust Haveā€ goal. And I can live with that until this picks up.

Do you do much GNW? Iā€™ve done almost $700 from GNW this month alone. Everyone needs a notary at one time or another. Good Luck!

I am in SF bay area too and yes, now is extremely slow. for the past two years, it had been so busy, I can sign all day long, and sometimes they will pay any price you ask for. I have foreseen this day coming once everybody is done with refinancing and the rate goes up. I saw even $75 with scan back gone in no time. I am keeping my fee and retiring. If they donā€™t pay the price I just enjoy my life. I had been working too hard for the last two years :slight_smile:

Wow, how did you see this day coming? Are you able to see other things coming too? How do you do that?

The interest rate is historically low, many notaries are not working, less competition. People are refinancing every house two, three times, Californians is buying out other states ā€¦ Lot of signing with no traffic, it was a notaryā€™s paradise. I told my husband this is once in a lifetime opportunity.
Pray god donā€™t wish another covid 19 coming even though money is good. Well, now people have done with whatever they need to do and many signers said this is the last time they are refinancing.

Well I think your a little better at spotting opportunities and seeing things then I am then. Iā€™m more of a strategist, I like creating opportunities and controlling the narrative in my favor, I donā€™t wait for opportunities to come to me.

Thanks for the articles. Yep, I spoke with several people in the industry and they said it is slow business for them too. One large National wrote me this, ā€œVolume is currently low across the board for everyone but hopefully will pick back up soon.ā€
