Who do you use for tracking of billing

Hi
Who does everyone recommend to use to keep track of billing etc. I have snap docs and the companies that I work with that don’t use snap docs I just add. But wondering if there is a better system
Or software?

I use excel program, so far so good.

I’m old school and use paper and pencil, because, after several computer breakdowns where the info was on an old hard drive, which I then had to have my son pull off and install on the new hard drive. I now use a spreadsheet with columns for the info I need and then print it out and make a booklet, which I can pick up at any time without having to go to the computer to look something up. I do make an invoice for each assignment on the computer so I have something to send if I need to send a collection letter. But, I decided several years ago, to go the computer-less route for the accounting end of my business and it’s been so much less stressful.

I really like Notary Gadget.

Thank you so much everyone. I do have excel but I’m thinking should I make a separate excel sheet for each company or just one big one?

What is notary gadget?

I use Quickbooks Pro and it also tracks my mileage usage every time I have a signing to do. It can do a lot of things once familiar with the software. There is another one called Quicken mostly for personal inputs.

http://www.notarygadget.com/ -from their site: is a super easy accounting software for notaries and signing agents. It makes just about everything you do easier - sending invoices, tracking payments, tracking mileage, tracking notarial acts, managing your calendar, tracking your expenses, and helping you with your taxes. It’s awesome and you can try it for free Your first 15 signings are 100% free

I made an excel spreadsheet that works great.

I created my own Excel spreadsheet with columns for all pertinent information, plus the date paid and I place the cancelled check in a file with the order so that I have a double-check on payments. I prefer to retain my signings and payments private rather than tracking them on a public website. I also keep track of the mileage on this spread sheet and use it for my tax backup.

Notary Gadget. Handled it through Quicken and various CMPs and Excel and Maps… Gadget does all the day to day in a single program. Much less work.
