Can any one suggest the Accounting procedure/software for Notary Buisness
I love Notary Assist. I’ve had my own business for 13 years and it works great for me.
I use Excel and you can create the tabs that you need. I do accounting too and I find it’s easier to create a cash received and expenses paid. If you need help send me an Email

I LOVE Notary Gadget. Very easy to use and year end reports for taxes are automatically generated. You just request the report and give it to your tax people. EASY.
I started using Notary Assist then I found Notary Gadget and liked it much better. I think Notary Gadget has more options and is easier to use. I also like their format better.
I use two methods ---- Quicken Home & Business allows me to easily keep track of all my business. The other is Snap Docs. This allows me to add a signing to the site and it keeps track of all the accounts payables and receivables, expenses, etc.
Quicken includes a mileage tracker as well.
In Snap Docs mileage is also tracked for each assignment. Additionally, I add my ending mileage in the expense area for each assignment.
I create my own tracking with an Excel spreadsheet. That way all my earnings are private and I can create cells and tabs that suit the way I like to keep track of my income and expenses. If you know how to create formulas its a breeze to have automatic calculations between/within cells and carryover income calculated from one year to the next (on open accounts for orders completed the last two months of the year, that are not paid until the new year).
