Working with FASS

Anyone working with FASS could assist me the solution ? I am registered with FASS Notary and i also authenticated my cell phone on their website . I received signing offering as text in html format on my cell phone from fels.istesting@firstam.com but i am not able to click the link given in the text to respond the signing order offering. I am using Iphone 6 plus. Can any one assist me the solution to solve this problem ? I have forward the snapshot of the text to Customer service of FASS to solve the issue.

I have the same issue.

I have the same issue as well. The link does not work and you have to log onto their system using your brower on the phone, but by that time you do that, the order is gone. I, too, have an iphone 6 and if I’m not at my computer, I miss orders. The text service is not an effective way to obtain an order from FASS, in my opinion.

Update: I have tried the text on my iPhone 6s+ and my 7+ and still the same issue :frowning:

I have contacted the FASS customer service they advised me to email them the screenshots of text received , i did that now they have forward the same to their IT department to look into it. Let us see what they do . Let me know if you find any solution . Thanks

Ok I will email them screenshots also.

I don’t have that issue with FASS because they always call me. I have never had a text request from them. However, I do have that same issue with a different signing company by the name of Express Notary. Never can get a signing with them as it requires me to go to my browser on my phone and log in…and boom it’s already filled.

I simply do not respond to cattle calls. I do, however, get a fair amount of assignments the old fashion way … by telephone.

I do not work for FAS but as far as the link clicking goes on the iPhone I have noticed that some of the others that I get text links from are also not clickable unless you tap the link twice and not once. I noticed that if I tap within the link twice it then becomes clickable. Try that.

Hi Coni,
I was having the same issues, but I know they released an email a few days ago stating they fixed the issue. So I’m not sure if you can access the links yet or not.
But as for the login issue, I was getting so annoyed by it that I didnt even want to try anymore. But then I remember for the iPhone, there is a new feature called password key chain, I believe. If you grab the link “M.vendor.fassnotary.com” then go to your Settings, click the Safari tab, scroll down to “General” click “passwords” and add in your login name and password for the site. So each time you click the link, your login info will automatically autofill, so you can accept that order much faster.
I hope that helps!

Excellent! Thanks Dylan. That’s helps!

I have the 7+ and experience the same issue with multiple companies - what I’ve done is exit the message, soft close messages and then go back in and the link will be highlighted. I started having this problem after the last iPhone update so I think it’s an Apple issue.

I do a lot of work for FASS. Most of my offers come via phone, but I do receive some texts. If you are having problems with the texts, you can go into your profile (or call the 888-270-3630 number) and walk through the issue with them. It took a few tries (on my Android) before I could quickly navigate the text system. But they have been rapidly enhancing it, and it is worth using.

I know this thread is pretty old but I have the iPhone X and still, the same problem as my previous iPhones. I just don’t know if it’s the phone or FASS but it would have been nice if by now, given all of complaints, they’d update there system by now.

Rather than have to copy an paste the link, would be better if they just would allow us to accept or deny directly within the message.

I have had the same issue. I spoke with a customer service person this morning. I told her what problem I have been having and that I am aware that other notaries are having the same issue. What she explained was the White Glove Notaries receive notification first, then Standard Plus, the Standard. To become White Glove or Standard Plus you have to close 10 with them within 90 days.

I explained that I have only been signed up with FASS since January 2018 and that I have only completed four. They do not give me the chance to complete more because the only notifications I seem to be able to respond to are for $50.00 and 50 miles away. I have responded and stated I needed more but once you raise your price you will probably not hear back. So the average person in todays market does not have a chance to achieve a higher rating because they are not given an opportunity. I refuse to work for $8.00 an hour. And believe me that is about what that turns out to be once you print, travel, sign, travel and scan.

That is when she got a little snotty with me and said that I could remove my name from their list so I did not have to worry about the issue. HMMM! I cannot remove my name because if you want to close for the “local First American Title” you have to be on the FASS approved list. And by the way what you close for the local company does not count for Signature Services. However she did admit the market in my area was not that busy now so I probably would not receive many.
Bottom line, you want White Glove Status you will have to work for next to nothing to achieve it. Good luck with that. The market is not as busy as the last few years, interest rates are up and bound to go higher so the amount of closings is less with all companies.
I understand their policy but in this market a good closer is not getting a chance and that stinks.

That is why I gave up on them. I use to do at least 10 closing for them a month until I started getting - “your password has expired” and I could not get in - or - “you are locked out” and you have to call the 1-800# to get them to unlock you - and trying to log in after leaving a closing to finalized and your on the road - all your information of what you need to get through is at your office - I finally said it was too much of hassle and stopped messing with it. Hated to loose the business - but too much stress to keep messing with it.
