Just signed up for ZigSig. There is monthly membership of $10 a month for Pro and $5 a Month for Basic. They also requested their own background check with a company called Sterling InfoSystems Inc. The fee for this background check was $147.86. Has anyone else signed up for this service?

That seems an extreme. I would not personally do this. There are many many platforms that are free and only require your already paid for credentials. Unless they can guarantee a certain number of competitive signings, then I would not do it.
@Mclaughlin1 Thanks for the feedback. Nothing has been promised, it was a requirement to sign up. I will see what happens after this âbackground checkâ if not I will request for my money back. It is difficult to vet which signing companies are good to go and which ones are not. Some comments on an agnecy say it is a good company and other comments state negative feedback.
I learned after year 1 paying fees never gives the returns they promise and wonât do it. Getting money back can be difficult.
What do you mean âTheir own background checkâ? You have to pay for another BG check besides the one you already paid for? I have done work for ZigSig in the past and at the time they were a good company to deal with, but I donât know what has happened to them. Have they turned to the dark side?
@steves11 LOL at the dark side. Yes, another webpage populates for a background check and currently I am pending approval.
I decided Iâd try 6 months to see. They accepted the NNA background check that I get annually. If you get it from NNA itâs less than half that cost.
Thanks for letting me know. Please excuse the error, the background check is for Fidelity National Financial not ZigSig.
Oh. Thatâs still pretty expensive. How is the NNA background check good for everyone except for them, I wonder. I submit it to anyone who wants a background check, havenât had it rejected before. Glad to learn that. Thanks.
@Yanira04 This is a valid statement - Plus, when you add in the factor that there are multiple Signing Services [SSs] that are recently turning to a Non-Payment status . . . It makes it even more challenging!
In other words, one should place heavier emphasis on recently shared direct experiences for business entities that are ghosting/non-paying ones THAN the older posts of direct experiences that are stellar.
WHY??
We all know that in life, things change . . .
A once reliable client can encounter financial turbulence, thus the potential for a newly established Non-Payment condition.
Run, now your the customer.
Stick to the big signing companies ..AND THE NNA
FORGET these places wanting to charge you for signings and the pricing on background checks
