Several months ago, I did a signing for Notary Bootz through Notary Dash. I’ve had problems collecting and now I got an email wanting me to sign up fot "ramp”. This is evidently their payment portal. As I proceeded, the questions became more detailed and invasive. I stopped mid stream as it’s been my experience that if they want to pay me via ACH, all they need is my name, bank account # and routing number. When a link to my bank popped up, like a dummy, I put my passwords in. That’s when an explosion went off in my head. No way. I have since changed passwords and username on that account. I gave them options of mail, email for echeck. Paypal, etc. Anyone else experience this?
@reoqueenbee No.
Thank You
for sharing your direct experience working with this particular Non-Paying business entity. Your post will be helpful to others regarding this business as well as a general cautionary tale . . .
QUESTION: Is that business affiliated with ‘investor bootz’ ?
If yes, you may benefit by a review of these threads:

I’d never heard of Ramp before so I looked them up. It appears Ramp is a global business tool that includes a bill pay feature. Spend Management, Corporate Cards & Accounts Payable Solutions | Ramp
It has been my experience in using another such platform that they do indeed request your banking information, including your password, so they can directly access your account to conduct business.
You may want to contact them directly for any questions or to dispel your fears:

I know nothing about Notary Bootz.
O
In order to process my payment, they only need the normal things. W-9, my bank account #, name on the account, and routing #. They do not need access to my account. Passwords are the only security wall we have. I dont care if they are a big company.
Sometimes when you link a bank account to something your bank requires you re-enter your password so they know it’s actually you doing that.
Im assuming they are hired to process payments. I do not know of any other business affiliation
I haven’t had any real issues getting paid through them. You do have to send an invoice to their accounting email address, accounting@investorbootz.com. I have never had to sign up with a payment service for them, but the last order I did for them was in October, so maybe that has changed. I had to send an email to request payment on the first order I did for them 1 day after it was late and they paid it.
@takenotenotaryservices She did a signing for ‘Notary Bootz.’
Your post references ‘investor bootz.’
Can you reaffirm if those 2 business entities are affiliated with one another?

I dont know. All I know is that investor bootz hires ramp to process payments.
Have you or anyone else heard of VEEM? I just had to sign up with them to get paid by a signing service a friend of mine has.
VEEM: Another global accounting platform. Home - Veem
There is a process. To link your account with their account. Were you entering your username and password? Which allows for faster verification. But it’s done through a third party. But I don’t recommend that. It’s better to enter everything in manually, except you don’t need a username or password.
Or just fill out a manual ACH form and then sign it, scan it and send it over.
It was a link created within their (ramp) website. As soon as I entered my bank name the new site appeared. It was hinky in thar it disappeared and locked out for a second.
They already have my ACH info, so going to their link to my bank seems wrong.
I am not interested in giving my banking info to anyone else..they can send me an e-check or a paper check.
