I searched this company prior to accepting the assignment and noticed it had been awhile since the last negative post about non-payment so I accepted one hoping they had cleaned up their act. The answer is no they have not. Once the signing is complete you can call, text, leave all the voice mail messages you want and Eli will not respond. My loan signing was completed on 5/9/25 and still no payment.
Many have suggested contacting the title company, but if you read their payment policy (that you accept when you accept the assignment) it says, “Under no circumstances should notary contact title company, escrow officer, lenders relators or signers to collect payment. It is strictly prohibited. If notary does contact any party other than BBN for payments, notary forfeits compensation and will be blacklisted…”
Just because I’m in a financial place where I can, I am going to turn it over to a collection agency and don’t care if it costs me the entire fee to which I’m entitled. This company needs to be shut down.
My advice: under no circumstances should you NOT contact the title/escrow/lender if you’re not getting paid. The so-called contract is worthless if they don’t hold up their end of the agreement - Like, say PAYING YOU! The other signing services out there know all about these bums and that blacklisting BS won’t work, in my judgment.
The collection company route may be costly and time consuming and may not be worth it. My only no-pay write-off is with Bilingual Bros. and I left it behind long ago.
Blackballed? An industry that’s already walking on legal eggshells is not going to close ranks to support a proven outlier. They (BBN) know it’s only $50 and there’s an endless pool of eager notaries to dip into.
Absolutely Reach Out to apprise the Title/Escrow Company [T/EC] of the Non-Payment status of their own chosen subcontractor.
Present the substantiation of the Non-Payment status.
A reputable T/EC will often (although, not always) pay the overdue invoice and immediately sever any ties to the Non-Paying business entity as it also reflects poorly on the T/EC choice of utilizing that subcontractor for servicing their clients’ files.
I conducted one closing for Brothers Bilingual Notaries a few years ago. I spent more time trying to collect my fee than conducting the closing. After three months of begging for my payment, I threatened I would reach out to the settlement agent and let her know they took title’s money and refuse to pay me (I always document the title company and the settlement agent contact info on the signing confirmation just in case I don’t get paid) I informed they are notaries as well meaning they are public officials and that I was going to contact the AZ Secretary of State because public officials should not commit theft of services and they will lose their notary commissions. I also threatened to contact the AZ AG’s office to let them know their LLC is engaging in theft of services. This was all done by email. He called me immediately after I sent the email and begged me not to contact any of these agencies. We agreed he would ship my check overnight with an extra $75 for the trouble. I got the check the next day.
I had a horrible experience with this company. I completed the job in August of 2024 and did not receive payment until January of 2025. For months I emailed and called Brothers and got no response whatsoever. I had no choice but to email them and cc the title company. The owner would respond also cc’ing title saying that he sent the payment to my cashapp, but that was not true. He tried saying the same thing saying my Venmo rejected his payment. I have correspondence from Venmo saying that was not true either. I stayed on them and sent another email every so often and then finally received payment. The owner sent a very nice and polite email with title cc’d saying payment had been made and asking me to confirm receipt. As soon as I responded that it had and thanking them, the owner sends me an email, just me no cc to title, that I had violated the contract by contacting title and not only would I not get any jobs from them anymore, but they would be blackballing me from Signing Order and would post negative reviews on any site I was registered with. I asked them why was I being punished and my livelihood threatened simply because they couldn’t pay their bills. How is that fair? I gave them plenty of time and they couldn’t even email me back to give me a status on payment for months. I contacted Signing Order and sent them all the email correspondence between me and Brothers, but was told they would look into it. I never heard back from them. I still get an occasional request from Signing Order, but they have drastically reduced. The good thing is, Signing Order is just one of many sites for signing agents to register with and I still get more requests from the others than I can keep up with. I am not in a position to just write off $85.00 and contacting title was my only option. Brothers is a scam and I do not want to work for anyone I have to beg to pay money I earned. Nor do I want to work for anyone protecting them and promoting their jobs, like Signing Order.
I made the same mistake. I gave them a chance and did a job on June 4th. with terms of net 60. Still trying to get paid I’m so mad. I’ve been trying to contact them for weeks after ghosting me then they told me they were sending payment on Aug 26 yet still nothing, ghosted me again and heard back on the 8th of this month saying they were behind…. wait what? What about sending payment today weeks ago!!!? ugh I’m with you I’m so frustrated and mad that they are taking advantage of us Notaries. I contacted an attorney today about sending a demand letter, but I’m right there with you depending on cost I plan to do the same with collections. Maybe there’s something we can do collectively? Please reach out if you’d like to team up or brain storm on what can be done.
The best thing I have learned from accepting ONE job from this …. “company”, is to ALWAYS look for reviews from now on when getting offers from signing services I have never worked with before.
I have never made a complaint before, but from the looks of it, Brothers Bilingual Services know from the start that they have no plan to pay the notaries they send out.
I completed a boots on the ground job for them on June 10, 2025. It was last minute, and I accommodated so that they could make their deadline. It was June in Texas in the blazing sun and heat, inside of a house with no electricity. I have sent them payment reminders since July 2025, and finally stopped in October because of the constant runaround. “Luis Teran” always said the same thing. Payment will be this week. After a couple of months of saying that, he stated “send me your Zelle information, we will pay you by end of day”… That was at the end of August. Still no payment. Still.
I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and now here on this platform. My next step is to file a complaint with the Attorney General of Arizona. This was an intentional and deliberate theft of services.
Do not work with this company. They will not pay you.
I’m having the same problem, and had a similar experience for a job I did June 4th. I DID file a complaint with the AG. What platform did you get hired on? I got hired on Signing Order which I put a complaint into them and they told me they didn’t have any other complaints which I find it hard to believe. Please if you haven’t already contact the signing service as well. I wish there was something we could do collectively.
Thank you for sharing your experience! It gave me the courage to do the same! I filed a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General a few days ago. I too was hired through Signing Order. I called their 800 number and spoke with someone, who gave me an email address. I lodged a complaint with them also.
A few days ago I tried ONE last time to give Yazmin “Luis” Teran and Elias Oceguenda of Brothers Bilingual Notaries the benefit of the doubt and to make payment, but sending yet another e-mail to them with all their various e-mail addresses. It appears the e-mail addresses are now no longer valid.
Upon doing a deep search, it appears the “Elias” has several other business venture irons in the fire. Realtor and also insurance agent. Hopefully he has more integrity in those dealings than he has with Bilingual Brothers Notaries.
