Changing Response on Signingorder.com

Apologies for a second question within an hour and again I’ve used the search function and can’t find an answer or discussion concerning my question.

I received a text for a signing in a city about a 45 minute drive away and requesting a witness (others have dropped the witness requirement after accepting the signing), the fee, as always, is on the low side so I respond as “Maybe” on the portal and enter a figure I feel is fair. I later check the job board and there has been an increase in the fee for the signing, $5 less than what I countered with but thought “what the hell I’ll take it”, but there is no way to change my response.

Has anyone had a similar experience or knows how you can change your response. I’ve managed to do this on other platforms, but Signingorder is proving to be not worth the increased monthly fee.

Thanks in advance.

I have found with Signingorder you will still receive the distance orders, even if you stop paying for extra ZIP Code listings. But once you make a counter offer, they expect you to stick with that In some entrances. I’ve taken orders at a counter offer and then discovered that the package is 180 pages or more. I will ask for an increase in those instances otherwise some of the schedulers will just cancel your order it really depends on if you’re trying to do this full-time or if it’s part-time for extra money, people react differently based on their own requirement, I find. If you’re doing part time maybe waiting for a higher profit job makes more sense.

Thank you. I am trying to do this full-time. The City is kind of a neighboring one, but with Denver metro driving, it’s still about 3/4 hour each way, then the witness (which we all have several clamoring to be for us, right?!) on top, so I responded with Maybe and an explanation with a counter. The issue is, when I saw the modified order I couldn’t accept it. When I’ve done it on Snapdocs or NotaryGo the process is really easy.

Oh I think I understand. I don’t understand why that happens either. I have no success on Signingorder with maybe responses. There are sometimes orders on the job board that don’t come via text. I have a price list on that website. Could be some companies just think I cost too much.

Which is okay. I am full time and holding the line on fees is a challenging aspect of the job. If you drop your rates it’s difficult to raise them again so sometime you miss out.

August has been brutal so far. But I have to stand my ground. The first year I was charging less to get the orders. After a year I published a fees page which I did not publish the first year.

@russ No. In my direct experience, I’ve never selected the ‘Maybe’ option nor needed to change the Response. :woman_shrugging:

I have done this before as well. But I have been able to click where it says “maybe” and it opens the order back up where you can change your response to yes. I will say though that I have had little success when countering on SnapDocs or signing orders, even when they change to the fee I requested and in a few cases went beyond my counter.

I have learned not to counter on signingorder.com
If you don’t like the fee, just wait to see if they raise it then accept. Means you have to keep your eye on it but if you are at your computer you can open the webpage and watch the job board or if you are on your phone, swipe the text message notification to delete it and when the amount changes you will get a new notification.
