Compressing files for Signing Services & Title

One of my favorite signing services had a problem with my downloaded scans and suggested I send the entire package as a single PDF rather than breaking it down like Signer Smith scan 1 of 3 , 2 of 3 and 3 of 3 which comports with the portal’s size limitations. It was suggested to me to use a tool called PDF Gear which will take the entire uninterrupted file of, say 150 pages and “combine and compress” the file so it goes as a single PDF.

Before I even check out PDF Gear, I’m wondering if I’m just late to the party and missed this method or if anyone out there has experience and tips and tricks they would be willing to share with me, your humble colleague. I await the flood of responses

I am aware that Adobe Acrobat can compress files if you have the paid version. I only have the free reader, so I haven’t tried it.

Thanx! My signing service told me the tool is free. That was just 15 minutes ago so I haven’t done any research to prove that out yet.

This has been the busiest Friday I’ve had in 4 months! I’m turning down more than I’m taking and I’m taking all I can (six big packages today, yippee!)

My all-in-one scanner program automatically compresses the files. There are other programs out there that also compress. There’s really no reason to have to send multiple files anymore.

@Bobby-CA Hmmm . . . that particular “tool” is not one I have any direct experience with nor have I ever heard of it previously . . .

I’ve utilized the Pro Version of Adobe Acrobat for a very long time & compress the files within the Acrobat configuration (after I scan the document package).

Is your Adobe the paid version?

If yes, Left Click the Menu button on the top left:

Review the Drop Down Menu while seeking out “Save As Other” & Left Click that Option

Review that Drop Down Menu while seeking out “Reduced Size PDF” & Left Click that Option

At that point, make the usual Save Choices for the document package. :white_check_mark:

I have uploaded scans in parts for years. I have never been asked to make parts into one file

Jot has the easiest at 50mb. 30 and 25 is what I usually see.

Opted for Adobe paid version and useful for many tasks. When I fully retire going to Google Chromebooks for simple home use and leaving business world behind. Working on life story book taking more time than I thought. Carve spots out in my week for writing and Tai Chi for seniors. :upside_down_face:
