This is not permitted as docs must be sent using encryption. That’s why we often must log into a web site or enter a password for the PDF.
If you just send a regular email with the docs to your borrower, it’s not secure.
No to mention, it sets an expectation with the borrower that they can get digital docs from the notary. (The situation I find myself in now) Borrower: “Why can’t you send me the docs to my email? The last notary did.”
