I did a witness only assignment for them on August 22, 2026. I have sent 3 invoices and the 4th invoice I finally assessed a late fee. I have heard absolutely nothing for anybody and obviously have not been paid. Does anyone know if they are experiencing financial difficulties. I’m more than willing to work with anybody but to completely ghosting me makes me highly suspicious. Any info is appreciated.
They typically include a payment schedule on signing order when you take an assignment. It’s normally 45 days. But they always pay. I won’t take SILK Title orders from them because those are 90 days.

As I often express within the Notary Cafe forums . . . vet your client PRIOR to providing ANY of your Professional Services!
The data on this particular business entity is immediately available via the Search Function.
There are 20 additional threads that are about Non-Payment.
As a business owner, you owe it to yourself (& the onus is upon you) to Search out the DEABEATS before working for them.

Yes, there was a payment schedule attached…from 2025.
UPDATE: I finally received payment for the invoice, not the late fees, of course. 63 days is unacceptable!

Your tenacity & follow through has reaped rewards for your efforts!
Due to the 20 additional threads that are about Non-Payment & the extremely extended period of time to receive remuneration for your Professional Services successfully provided - do you have them on your “NO!” List?
![]()
Absolutely on the “No” list. I’m plenty busy without them.
August 7 paid Oct 23. Which is what I expected. Because that’s what the schedule told me. I limit what I accept because of their pay schedule. But they always pay. Notaries should just make their own decisions.
If they dont want to work for a good company. Then they should work for some fly by night.

Has anyone ever assessed a late fee to a signing service and had it paid?
No but I have had a service add ten bucks before as a late fee payment
I have had companies add to the fee voluintarilly when the job turned out to be bigger than anticipated. Never as a late fee though. I’ve never actually presented any charge as a late fee to a signing service because I doubt that they’d pay it anyway. It’s only the good companies that will add an extra fee. The lowballers and slow payers would never do it.
