General notary work can pay good!

Gee whiz, Jason, what in the world does that mean. . .“the right way”.

Oh, Jason is a challenge for many of us. I pass the time with him whilst waiting for assignments. :upside_down_face:

I just read your post. Can you tell me if you work with a company to get the I-9 requests?

Hey, Jason, no answers for my questions, hmm?

I don’t want to reveal what else I do, I don’t need a mess of saturation and low ball fees like in this field messing it up.

Reminder to please remain civil and stay focused on the original topic. If you would like to start a separate one-on-one conversation, please use the DM feature.

Has anyone used Panda doc for notaries?

I just signed up with them.

Hi, Ace. No, I have not, sorry.

Hi, yes. I subcontract through N3 Notary. They pay via e-checks; however, my business banking account (Bluevine) does not recognize them due to fraud concerns. The only other pay options they offer direct deposit ($5.00 fee) and some other digital pay (also at a fee). I am currently owed $200 by them due to their accounting representative, Marc Greco’s, only resolution being for me to bank elsewhere. However, I called my personal bank (USAA) and they advised they accepted eChecks, so I will use that as a workaround. Since my business is more technical writing-focused and not solely notary-focused (and these are not notarial acts), I’m just going to use the I-9 verification as additional income and deposit their checks into my personal account.

How has this been going since this post?

Has nobody answered this question? I feel it’s kinda important.

If you are a local notary , google is probably the best service to start for advertisements.

(CA) You feel it’s kinda important to answer the question, “what [advertising] venue are you using?”. I’m curious if you have a response to that query.

No, that’s why I quoted it and pointed out its importance to decrease the chance of it getting missed.

Establishing a google listing for your service is free and best advertisement in my opinion.

I have paid several different ad companies to have my services listed and I always ask my clients how they found our services and majority of the time they say they found my google listing, if it’s not our google listing then it’s somebody recommending our service.
Word-of-mouth is always the best advertisement, but you gotta start somewhere to get that…
