GNW requires notarity. If you don’t have it you must spend money to get it.
Because you never know when you’re going to need a notary public.
When Joe finds out he need one he googles notary public and calls until someone answers the phone. If he’s not calling you then you need a better placement on the web.

I’m curious how this will price out for you? Are they going to pay you per signing or per hour how does that work? What if there is supposed to be 4 closings that day and two of them got canceled or rescheduled for some reason?
Would you be expected to stick around and would you take a hit on how much money you lost that day?
I have not seen any signings lately paying over 85 dollars, yes they randomly cancel, and they are all in a rush. I’m making more or the same doing GNW; unless partnered with a title company it’s a waste of time to me.
GNW paid on the spot and quicker…

As an independent notary, I do not work exclusively just for one company and assignments are pre-scheduled at least 1 day before and can only take what I can fit in my schedule. Unfortunately, I may never see another signing from one of my favorites because I gave back orders way too often. Maybe someone had a bad day but on Friday I was driving and accepted two orders one for the 31st and one for April 1st without checking my calendar first but I gave back within 2 minutes. I never had problem giving back as long as it is at least a day before. She was displaying dissatisfaction even though I gave back way in advance.

That is great news! I am signed up on several platforms and have received a few offerings from Coast to Coast, but since I work full time I was not able to assist. I have had no other contacts — so I am so discouraged because I have not had one closing.
I do this full time and most of my signings come during the day or early mornings. If I did this part time I would only get 1/4 or less of offers that I would be able to fill.

. Yes, when doing this part time you have to ensure your main job is flexible. Also, be ready to negotiate higher fees and take last minute signing in order to make it worth your time.

I have been doing the same. My GN work has picked up and I am now making more money than I was a NSA. Prices for signings have dropped by almost $150 from last year to now in my area. So I have started focusing more on my 24/7 GN work, yet still taking signings that pay “reasonable”. I can go to our local jail, hospitals, client’s homes, all here very close to me and make what I now made doing loan signings.

My GMW is non-stop fast, pays well, and I have happy customers!! Do not sleep on GNW!!!
I’m sorry it’s hard to look at an $85 signing with 150-page scan backs/prints when I make over $100 poa, wills, divorces, etc. Customers are happy to tip me as well!! No rush, immediate payment, and I control everything!!! I get notifications all the time from signings …but they are lowballing the notaries…
the key is to pick up your phone and know your state laws !!

@JohnM-FL - I started advertising here locally as a mobile notary, I have been able to partner up with several banks, title companies, etc and we also own a bail bonds business so I had my mobile notary info put into our website and I get a lot of calls from that alone. Again, I will still do loan signings as “filler”, but I now make way more money locally being available 24/7 to our hospitals, jail, private homes, my home office, nursing homes, assisted living, the list goes on and on… I do all types of docs for people… POA’s, Quit Claim Deeds, Divorce Decrees just to name a few.

I have read all of the responses on this forum. Very inspired. I just started out and I have set realistic expectations on my GNW side and LSA side. I have sent out close to 100 emails ( extreme I know!) but the odds are from that 100 7 will get back to me and three will actually give me business. And these aren’t just title companies but also hospitals, rehab centers, tow companies, car dealerships and even tattoo shops. (I’ve been reading these forums y’all)
I’ve learned you can’t be a one trick pony with this business. I even plan to become a remote online notary. Because with that, GNW and LSA and with a bit of networking and advertising (minus social media because I’m not into the energy social media comes with lol) I feel something has to give. And I’ve had calls this week. Nothing booked yet but it’s still movement. I emailed an attorney and she told me she will use me when she needs a mobile notary. She was really nice too. I’m getting title closing from private clients.
I had 3 title closing last week 2 from a Zillow title close about 15 pages (no scan back or faxes easy) and 1contacted me through GNW. Paid on spot no waiting. I set my own prices…
I’m not focused on LSA work and the signing companies anymore. I’m more focused on serving the clients and the rest will come.

How did you get the leads?

I do not market LSA work or signings too much competition and the industry to me is cutthroat. (for newer agents)
I get them through GNW and picking up my phone. I’m a strong advocate for GNW as I’m making 60 -150 with tips doing GNW. No rush, no long driving, no getting paid at end of the month. Only less than 1% is making that 10k month as LSA… Markets are changing every day.
I offer a service not just a stamp and I market myself this way. If you want a stamp or free stamp go to ups or chase bank. Whereas they don’t care about your documents.
Today I was paid $94.00 with tip for one jurat stamp…The customer appreciated the service, not just the stamp/signature I can provide.
Fax/ Scan back Fee
Service Fee
Travel Fee

I got to get to the point where I pick up my phone. Not sure why it is bugging me, but I finally am ready for my first GNW notarial act and I freeze when the phone rings.
