I’m very new to RON notariziaton. I have been on the On-Demand cue on Notarize/Proof for hours at a time. Every once in awhile one will come in the cue, and then it is gone before I have a chance. I’ve even clicked on it immediately and have still not gotten the first one. Any advice?
Those are very competitive, and there are too many people registered, so it’s very hard to grab a job before all the others unless you are lucky with the timing (where you happen to be looking at the screen when a job comes in).
I wouldn’t rely only that site for jobs - I would recommend advertising your services on various notary sites like I do, and be sure to state that you also perform RONs. Cause then potential clients could contact you directly through the site (or call, text, or email you).
That’s been working very well for me for many years, and many of the clients I serve often return for future or additional services, and they often refer me to other potential clients as well.
If you do that, you’ll build a huge network nationwide before you know it. It’s well worth the membership fees of those notary sites, which often include a free notary listing (including Notary Cafe).
Just keep in mind that, as a new notary, you’ll start at the Partner Tier. At this level, you’ll primarily receive witness and retail sessions, which can be a little slow at first. Stick with it—everyone starts there.
Keep your script nearby until it becomes second nature. Learn it, but don’t just read it word for word. Adjust it to fit your personality while making sure it complies with your state’s notary laws and requirements. Customers respond much better when you sound natural.
For some perspective, I’m currently at 8,061 completed sessions with 11,285 notarial seals placed. You can absolutely reach this level, but keep in mind that promotions aren’t based solely on meeting the tier requirements. Proof also vets notaries before moving them up, so not everyone is promoted immediately.
These days I typically handle 50 to 60 calls per day, and yesterday I completed 73 sessions. A lot of success on the platform comes down to consistency, experience, and being available at the right times.
I’ve had a similar experience with on-demand queues. I’ve spent time monitoring both BlueNotary and Notarize with Proof, and for me, the time investment hasn’t produced much return. From what I understand, location, connection speed, and latency can all impact how quickly notifications are received, especially when multiple notaries are competing for the same requests.
A reliable internet connection definitely seems to make a difference, and I’ve heard that a hardwired connection can be beneficial compared to Wi-Fi. I’m still learning what works best, but at this point I’ve found that focusing my energy on building relationships and accepting scheduled assignments feels like a better use of time.
Hopefully you find an approach that works best for your location and setup. Wishing you lots of success and many great signings ahead!
Yes, connection speed and latency are extremely important. A hardwired internet connection is a must when working on Proof.com or any remote online notarization platform. But technology is only part of the equation.
Patience, reliability, and consistency are just as important if you want to succeed as a Remote Online Notary. There will be slow periods, technical issues, and days when appointments come in waves. Understanding traffic patterns—such as the time of day and day of the week—can help you set realistic expectations and maximize your availability.
Success in this business isn’t determined by your internet speed alone. It’s built on being prepared, staying professional, remaining available, and consistently providing excellent service whenever the next session comes in.
Remember, until you reach the second tier, you’re probably not going to make much money. That’s simply the reality of starting out on the platform. The first tier is designed to let you learn the system, build confidence, and prove your consistency.
Instead of focusing on your earnings in the beginning, focus your energy on building relationships, learning the platform, perfecting your script, and delivering a great customer experience every single session. Your reputation, reliability, and professionalism are what get noticed.
The money comes with time. Promotions aren’t automatic—they’re earned. Stay patient, stay consistent, and treat every session like an interview. If you continue showing up and providing excellent service, you’ll put yourself in the best position to move up and increase your earning potential.
Thank you and I agree that there are likely too many people. I’m trying to go on at different times as well nto see if that makes any difference, like after 6pm. I am listed on other sites and as I’m sure you know, it takes some time to get on as many as possible. I have also starting going door to door contacting some title companies as well.
Thank you! I do have very high speed wifi. I just switched providers a few months back. And I agree that focusing on meeting people is a very good use of time. I’ve starting going to some title companies close by, about 4 a day, introducing myself and dropping off business cards. I’m exploring all options.
I’m currently working about 8 to 10 hours a day on Proof, although that also depends on how many appointments are generated through my website.
My long-term goal is to spend less time on Proof and focus more on growing my own company and serving clients directly. Proof has been an excellent platform, but I’m working toward building my own client base so I have greater control over my schedule and business growth.
You are dedicated!!! Averagely each of the session as 10 mins, you have to work 730 mins total, that is more than 10 hours of notarization per day; I will not survive that… but RESPECT!!!
One thing that helps is that my average “standard” notarization session is actually less than 2 minutes from start to finish. The only sessions that take significantly longer are loan packages, which average around 45 minutes, depending on the number of documents and the signer.
I’ve also set up keyboard shortcuts (text shortcuts) for many of my common entries, which saves a lot of time and keeps my workflow consistent. Between that and experience, I’m able to move efficiently through routine notarizations.
Because most of my work consists of quick general notarizations, I’m able to handle a high volume without spending 10+ hours sitting in appointments. The workflow is very different from someone who primarily handles loan signings.
2 mins per session, that is lighting fast! My shortest GNW session via Blue Notary will take at least 5 mins; most of the time is waiting for the client to get ready with the camera, audio, and documents uploaded; then the mandated script will take another 30 seconds; the tagging with shortcuts ( now they actually have AI help on that), will take another 30 seconds;
Proof.com must have found a faster way to help their customer to set up with their devices without significant delays.
Also the order volume is huge on Proof.com compared to the Blue Notary. If I assume every single open call that blue notary received, I will receive an email notification. The total number of open calls per day averagely speaking is about 30-40; not mentioning that I have to share with other notaries on the opportunities. The highest volume I got per day is 10 open calls.
Now I am super looking forward that Proof.com could bring their ODN program to my state!!
Hi Antonio, I just wanted to clarify that I did not mean to question the authenticity of your experience or ask you to prove anything. I’m sorry if it came across that way.
I was simply impressed by the volume that Proof will be handling for ODN, and I was comparing it to my own experience with Blue Notary, where things seem to be moving much more slowly.
Your success with Proof is genuinely inspiring and encouraging. Thank you again for sharing your insight.
@bardnotary, I understand that you’re not questioning the authenticity. I was simply trying to point out something you may not have noticed.
I track everything—every metric across all of my companies—to measure productivity and performance. I’m also on virtually every RON platform, whether they’re paid or free, because I want to compare how they perform and evaluate their workflow.
There was actually one platform that I’ll never mention publicly. During the training sessions, they told me I wasn’t being professional. My response was, “I’m only evaluating your platform to determine whether it meets my company’s needs.” Ironically, they’re now offering me a free subscription, which is pretty cool.
I’ve seen your website, and I’m genuinely impressed. Having your own website is a great asset. My goal with sharing this information wasn’t to criticize anyone—it was to show how RON can help some notaries expand their opportunities, grow their businesses, and potentially improve their financial situation.
Can I ask what state you are in? Just curious as where I am in Oregon I have not found anyone who is willing to do a Loan signing via RON. They still want a wet sign, wondering if it is a state difference. I am very impressed by your success with RON. I have tried with BlueNotary and found that all the calls came in during the middle of the night for me, so am going to try Proof next.
@tlstewart.notary I’m in Florida, and if you’re not getting much traction with loan signings, consider approaching attorneys instead. Some of my larger clients are immigration law firms.
Try a different approach when speaking with them. Instead of simply offering notary services, explain the liability they assume when they handle notarizations in-house. Then show them the value you provide by reducing that risk while also making the process more convenient for their clients.
Another selling point is convenience. Their clients can schedule appointments directly with you at a time that works for them, allowing the law firm to focus on practicing law instead of coordinating notarizations.
