Legal size doc's

When I work with title directly they have no problem me resizing the docs to letter sized as long nothing gets cut off butt when working with signing services they will require legal sized papers

why is this?

In some states some forms and the Deed of Trust must be filed on legal size paper.

in other words some signing services are making mistakes.

this is not anymore The use of legal-size paper was a tradition, but today most counties accept either legal-size or standard letter-size (8.5" x 11") paper for recording purpose

The State of Washington form is required to be printed on legal size. It states this on the form and in a pop up box when you print it. The REETA sorry.

if a state requires legal size deed notary instructions will usually say that. Some lenders still require it.

this is the state Washington RCW 65.04.045 Recorded instruments—Requirements—Content restrictions—Form.https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=65.04.045&pdf=true

that are not
larger than fourteen inches long and eight and one-half inches wide

it may be smaller

Summary

It simply comes with the directive to print on legal paper. I have done re-signs when legal paper is not used on some documents depending on the title company. I would caution anyone to be careful shrinking to letter without an approval to do so. That’s all.
