Is it necessary to still print Legal size paper if the instruction doesn’t specify what type of paper to use? An attorney told me Letter size paper is becoming more and more the norm. Is this correct?
Letter size is indeed becoming more and more the norm, but you shouldn’t shrink any page from legal size to letter size unless the party that hired you tells you to. One reason why this could be a problem is that some laws and the policies of some offices where documents are recorded have a minimum type size; type that is too small may be illegal or may be rejected by the recording office.
Thank you Ashton - makes complete sense.
If the instructions don’t specify what size paper to use I print the document(s) on whatever size paper they were scanned in as, just click “Choose Paper Source by PDF Size” in Adobe. If a document was scanned in on a strange size that is not letter or legal I print that particular document on legal paper and just select “Fit to Printer Margins” to make sure that nothing is cut off.
