If I counter offer, at 100 and they raise it $5 and send it again, I counter $105.
If they do it again, I counter $110. They don’t do it to me because it will only get more expensive. I’ve actually been assigned orders doing that.

With Mortgage Connect, I always counter. Then they send it out again, I counter for $5 more. After the third counter, it shows up in my inbox. They don’t me anymore. Set your fees and stick to your guns!
I am so glad that I finally fired them. They wouldn’t accept my counter offers and I had a perfect closing record with them.
Just happened again, job offered at $55, countered at $100, got a 2nd offer at $65, countered at $105. Got the confirmation this morning at $105.
Same here. I counter-offer what’s close to home (gas is $6/gallon here) and every now and then I get one from them.
I can agree with you on this point. I was told by one of the reps that the callers have authorization up to the $125. Since I have a good rating Im always countering at $110 - $125. for the low ball offers. If I know its a large package I say $150. Most of the time I can get it.
You are 100% correct on this @Steves11
That probably means that no one else wanted the job.
Not a problem for me.
